This is from Al Tomko's third rate promotion in Vancouver. Igor is nobody you ever heard of and not Rick Ferrera. This promotion killed wrestling completely in Vancouver, a once thriving wrestling center.
This, as others have mentioned, is Rick Ferrara, and not the original Mighty Igor. Ferrara worked as Igor Putski for Bill Watts' promotion in the early '70s in a tag team with a young Ivan Putski. The real Mighty Igor worked mostly for the Tunneys in Toronto and for The Sheik in Detroit, as well as for the IWA in the South. Moose Morowski worked in WWWF in the early '70s as Mike ("Moose") Monroe, not to be confused with late '70s/early '80s WWF jobber Frank ("Moose") Munro.
@elc1960 You have some misinformation. First Frank The Moose and Mike The Moose Monroe are one in the same. Moose Morowski is a complete different man. Morowski never wrestled in the WWWF. He was a mainstay in the Amarillo Territory for the Funks. Also did allot of wrestling in Europe and Canada.
I remeber the original Mighty Igor . The rumor around town in the 1970's is that he lived on Payne street in dearborn Mi across from a buddy of mine. I never saw him myself .
@SHAMROCKLOMAS54 Was this wrestler your uncle or was the original Igor your uncle. Big difference in the two wrestlers. The original was bigger and a lart larger at close to 295 pounds.
@RangerRob2009 No Dick Garza was my Uncle. Actually great uncle. This guy is not him. He did live in Dearborn. He passed away in 2002. Never did get to see him live. I have to watch videos.
I remember the mighty Igor. I sen him in my small town several times in the 70's. Used to do feats of strength. THis kinda like him in the face, but unless this is early stuff, don't seem like him. He was enormpusly tall but his arms were massive. anyone remembering him popping basketballs in his biceps, lol. He was the nicest guy too, always signed autographs for his fans.
who is the man comes up into the ring and helped Igor ? what's his name?
