bah, so many years since i played this i kinda forgot things. it was +fetters of rime +flamecast that i used, im pretty sure, and not thoughts likes clouds coz it dont work on him, i used something else, maybe mind melt, cant remember

i used a totaly different tactics, which i think is the easiest to use and win with- u just cast fetters of rime on all of them, and/or thought like clouds on makala the entire battle, plus dannons delusions and mirrorwall if needed. then u can either melee or fireball them easily. battle against the six was way harder

hrm, I never played this, but I read the book once, along with most of the series. So this is a old school RPG. Having only played JRPG's myself, it looks strange. The huge usage of text to tell the story has a charm though.

I always mirrorwalled using the Lifestone as defense. The big demon guys would throw out fireballs and it would backfire and hit them. If you had 3 of those up you could keep your casters always far away enough to cast. Then Gambit of the Eight, followed by an invitation cast or two would finish the fight very quickly.

Best RPG ever.. I was like 5 or 6 and managed to kill him.. I only used skin of the dragon, some restoratives and my staff to beat makala :P
