sooo if i happen to be a dj that wants to put his mixes on iTunes i can't because I've used copyrighted music, is that correct? plz help coz my friends want to buy my mixes
thank you man, You really helped out. Im trying to share some songs that i have made thorugh out the years and i would LOVE for them to be on iTunes. and i dont know how 'Till now!! Thank you so much for the advice friend!!
@unlucky66613 Garageband beats are royalty-free, musicians use them in their own songs all the time. However, make sure that the beat you use is actually part of a real song with other instruments or vocals. If, for example, your song consists only of a single, remixed Garageband beat track, you will get sued!
This video is great, I play by ear too since I was 7 years old.. Your an inspiration mate and we have some things in common. Thanks for sharing this video and info with us.
@carltonlovesyou Garageband is a great way to get started for someone who has never worked in a music studio and who has very little experience making music.
Hey man, i appreciate you spreadin the knowledge. Im in a heavy metal band, and im trying to get the music out there. I like your instructions, theyre nice and simple and direct, I can tell u know what you talkin bout as well. Thanks dude
@jenjen385 If you want to sell a cover song legally, you first need to get a license from whoever owns the rights to the original song. Usually the owner is a record label and they will probably ignore you. Your best bet is to write your OWN original music and sell that music on Tunecore. Then upload your awesome cover to YouTube instead, and put a link to your Tunecore album in the video info.
Nice vid man, agreed on the end about bustin out better rhymes, somethin deeper. i also love what you say, when yur winnin, keep workin like your losing! true winner talk... peace!
@ChrisLaneOfficial You can't sell covers on iTunes unless you have a license from whoever owns the rights to the original song. Usually the owner is a record label and they will probably ignore you if you are not signed.
Thank you VERY much my guy... the advice is madddly appreciated. I think i first saw you on an old recording of you on the keys... MAN Blessings to my ears TRUST... when you find time... go to my channel and push play on "AUTO"...
Just though it was funny when you were like I don't know what inspired me but then right after you say that you're like My dad bought me this keyboard and I just did it... Then to me your dad doing that for you is what inspired you my man Keep going and keep doing your thing bro much respect! D
I think our philosophies are very similar, damn I'm getting more excited just watching your vids bro. I found tunecore through musicians friend, signed up but I don't have any material I want to put up yet. I really appreciate how you are an open book on what knowledge you've found. Thanks Klassic
I have a question.....If i am 14 years old can i still put my music onto itunes because i have my own beats and everything????.......cool i was kind of like you.....everything by hearing, i also dont read music too..lol...so yeah but i can do a lot of things like makin music, singing, playing guitar and drums of course piano to but im tryin hard to get there!!!!
The only thing about reading music is sometimes it's just easier to explain stuff to people in the studio if you are working with a band for example like "I need that to be a C sharp." Some people can't read notes but they can tell you what note you are playing. Can you do that Mike?
Yes, thats what i meant by "I know what Im playing". In other words I know keys and what chords is what. You dont have to read music to know all that. All you need is a tutorial book that tells u whats what. I've played in several bands and yes, U must at least know your keys and scales.
Honestly, I don't know. I can read music, I have studied music theory. I play classical guitar, I know the notes in the chords, so when I read the music I can see the notes and see if I can just hold a chord. (I can also play the keyboard). I think being able to read music is a good skill, I just don't think that it is an essential skill.
So true, as long as you know the names od the keys, you know your scales (from there you and work out the chords). You can then play around and find something that sounds good.
Awesome vlog man. I don't watch many vlogs because they're usually boring and useless but you have very useful stuff to talk about and it's actually pretty interesting. Keep up the great work man.

@elreynumero1 If they are "royalty free" beats then no, you will not get sued. But make sure they are royalty free.
