I hate post 9/11 of '01 because people's fear and blind trust of Bush then gave birth to all the idiotic shit that transpired for the next 9 years.
People who should have known better were fucking DUMB in 2001.

Our govt. failed at Ruby Ridge, so who got blamed? Neo-nazis. The govt. failed at Waco, who got blamed? Radical religious groups. The govt. failed to stop OKC bombing, who got blamed? Rush Limbaugh. The govt. failed on 9/11 who was blamed? BAGGAGE CARRIERS! The govt. failed at Katrina, who was blamed? The poor black people. Our govt. failed with the housing bubble, who was blamed? American minorities who bought expensive houses.

The man with the purple beard is right. The baggage handling is not the most important part. Hijacking a plane with boxcutters worked as a tactic between 08.46 and 10.03 on 11/9/2001. The only way to prevent future attacks is to focus on counterintelligence. Sure there needs to be airport security but overzealousness achieves nothing and it was not the major failing.
