How to Create and Delete System Restore Points in Vista

how do you make a restore point about 9 months old?

is there a way to tell the computer to not make so many restore points? my computer is using up 15% of my hard drive for restore points. for my computer, that's 15.75GB. if each restore point is 300MB, that's 52 restore points. i sure as hell don't need 52 restore points, but i don't want to just delete all of them. they would come back in no time. help? Vista of course

uhhh... when i create a restore point an error pop up. it says "The Restore Point cannot be created for the following reason: Catastrophic Failure" What does that mean??? IM NEED TO DO AN SYSTEM RESTORE!
