this is perfect for someone like me, who has other pedals I like but I don't want a bunch of other separate pedals for phase shift, chorus, delay....stuff I would use only on its own. This does one effect at a time, I'd use it for a utility pedal, like my Magicstomp...even tho it does a lot of great multi efx, I don't wanna mess with menus so this Line 6 is great for those of you that need a Swiss Army pedal.
Thank you. I may get an M9 then. EBay has some near 350 bucks. I am curious about the parametric Eq on these units. How many band frequencies it has ? Thank you for your time !
@dekzan Don't have the unit handy, but according to line6.com the following EQ models are available:
(1) Graphic EQ - A five-band graphic EQ (2) Studio EQ -Featuring a constant Q and soft clipping output with level control, (3)Parametric EQ - complete with a high shelf, a low shelf and a fully parametric band. (4) 4 Band Shift EQ -A typical four-band graphic EQ (5) Mid Focus EQ -A high-pass and a low-pass each with frequency and gain control.
@dekzan If I understand your question correctly, you are asking if you can "stack" the effects, like you can with (for example) the M9 or the M13. No, you cannot. It does one thing at a time. If you need more than one at a time, you will need the more expensive version, or select another multi-fx unit. Thanks for listening!

I'm pretty sure i'll buy the stompbox modeler soon, but since I'm new at playing guitar, i need to ask:
Does it matter what expression pedal your using?
Does it matter what brand or which one you take, as long as it is an expression pedal?
I'm looking on a Boss FV-500H.
Will it work?
