@TheZC13 practice practice ;). No seriously, PRACTICE like crazy. Usually I push uphill or anywhere switch, just to get experience. Lately I've committed full days to riding switch, doing slides, carving, even just grabbing rail and lightly bombing and tucking. It's REALLY tough at first, but after a month or three, you'll notice a LOT of growth. Also, you'll want a bidirectional board (symmetrical length-wise) so as to get those switch 180's to regular. Makes it more fun :)

Just a few months ago I could hardly push switch without losing my balance, and now, even though I didn't practice switch everyday, I have switch heelside standies down, and I'm getting switch toeside standies fairly easily. Switch riding is the most fun feeling you'll probably get on a board (other than high-speed sliding), so practice!

@nuszky hey, even if your wheels are really grippy you can still slide great IF you break them in... Then soft wheels are the nicest wheels for freeriding/sliding imo... But if you can't break them in cos you can't slide properly (?) then get something nice and hard like orangatang stimulus 86a, but if your learning, it's ALL about technique, not wheels, hope I helped :)

@soheypeops The new bear 852 are some awesome trucks. Their bushing seat is extremely restrictive, so you get a super high rebound while turning. yo can ride them normal, so you have 52 degree angle, which is very turny and nimble, or you can flip the hanger to have a 46 degree truck angle(same as the aera precision trucks) which makes them stable for dh without sacrifying a big amount of turn. I ride mine flipped with red venom bushings and I'm able to do 360's on them.
