@JNighthawk7x I used to always think that you should go for the v8 models of the Mustang, Camaro, Firebird etc. Until I saw the 0-60 time for the 2011 v6 mustang. I believe it was about 5.2 seconds! That is plenty fast and being that gas is now $4 a gallon, the v6 is definitely the way to go unless you are rich enough to spend the extra $5,000 for the v8 package and all the extra gas and tire costs.

For me I'm gonna get a 2006 GTO 6.0L V8 and make sure I save enough to cover gas. When you break it down its just money management most people can afford the gas you just have to give up maybe eating at that certain fast food place or buying something you can do with out etc. But I agree for better fuel economy and money saving V6 is the way to go.

Cool! I love Firebirds! I have a 2002 F-bird V6 with 5-speed, love it. It's my 2nd F-bird, my first was a 1979 Formula 400 with T-tops which I fully restored. It was really fast!

0 to 60 in 5 seconds flat. Love that! Classic Firebirds Forever! I've been a Pontiac person most of my adult life. Unfortunately we can no longer buy new ones, but there are so many awesome classics restored we can buy it's still awesome to enjoy classic Pontiacs!

fuck em.The 3800 was one of the best engines EVER built. if you put a supercharger on these like the L67s or even an Intense cam with intake,headers,exhaust,and chip you can have these running with the trams ams easily. Ive got a T/A myself,but the 3800 needs mad respect.theres one in my dads GP GT and my moms Lumina LTZ and a 350 SBC in my T/A and my moms tahoe and my dads sierra.So GM makes some of the best engines ever as far as power and reliability.

@alexkmadden Biggest flaw with them is the window motors go out in both firebird or camaro.(Too big of window for little motor). The second is on some of the cars the pulleys wear out and make squealing nosies. Third is the oil pumps would not work properly causing too much or not enough oil pressure. Overrall the 3.4 and 3.8 are really good engines that GM made. If maintained rite these cars will last a long time.

Nice. I love the V6. With a little head and cam work its easy to get about 220-230 ish WHP (which is LT1 territory) plus they are light and with correct gearing they can be quick. Add nitrous and your winnin races against bolt on LS1s.
