@MikeMikeNana In addition to having a better selection of music, it's actual gameplay is better. The notes are color coordinated based on note value instead of DDR's seizure inducing rainbow arrows.

The game has a much cleaner and quality look to it, and has a wider range of difficulty.

Finally, and probably most importantly, ITG gets you used to doing proper technique, such as crossovers, while DDR uses a lot of random note placement, that isn't very fluid to play.

@MikeMikeNana I personally really liked Extreme 2. I would go for Extreme 2, Max and Max 2, and maybe Supernova. If you can, get In The Groove. It's so worth it. (ITG is really the best 4 panel dancing game imo :P)

For heaven sake, do NOT get an Ignition 3.0.

If you are thinking of going for a soft pad, find a ITG bundle pack - the ones that come with 2 pads and the ITG game for PS2. Mod the pads (a guide can be found on DDRFreak) so they don't slip around and you can wear shoes on them. They will last a long time as long as you mod them and don't fold them up.

I just got a PS2-to-USB adapter for my birthday, but uh...my pads stink...like none other. It's ridiculous. Thanks for the recommendations! If I had money, I would TOTALLY take your advice. First of all, 'cause I don't have ITG anyway, and because I've been searching for "the perfect pads" all my life since I've been introduced to DDR. Out of the like 8 pads we've bought, they've all broke within like a month.

i cant really move the camera if it's sitting on the side of my computer...no one's holding it smart one. And it's kinda hard to, ya know, get off the pad to pick up the camera and show myself playing....and still pass.

also, since i'm the only person there, how can there be a 2 person process occurring (and if there were 2 people, why wouldn't the other one hold the camera...duh.)

When I last played, I got the beginning of what later became very painful blisters on my feet. Not wanting to stop since my parents were in a movie theatre watching an opera broadcasted from NY (I was in California at the time)(did I mention snore), and still having 3 hours to go, I played without socks, and to some degree did better.

Except for one dedicab (swapped out with DS Disney's Rave at one point due to syncing issues), the only other place near me was upgraded from 3rd Mix Korean to ITG to ITG2, and is poorly maintained a lot of the time... but it does have PumP PRO, DDRSN, and DDRMAX2! :D
