Its like calling the Ford Ranger a "bitch truck" because it is smaller & less powerful than a Ford F-150. The Ranger exists because it accommodates a certain need. It is the same for the 883... I am going to get a 2008 Harley-Davidson XL 883L Sportster Low just for A to B transportation.... the bike is perfectly suited for that.

How old is this bike? Correct me if I'm wrong but EFI motors have to be downloaded after changing pipes, air filters, ect.? Not always, but most of the time. Otherwise, yes I agree that a starved engine will die faster than one running "normail" Besides, there is not HP behind a starved bike right!?! lol

Seriously turn your Idle speed up. Then recheck your time. If your Idle is too low you wont get oil to pump through hardly at all sitting at idle. Danger Will Robinson
