  • I hear this for the first time. Though I'm American, wouldn't the music of this piece be German? It sounds so terribly German, and in a very good sense.

  • what a soulful music,it made me cry when hearing this!

  • Lovely!

  • I've listened to these great songs and singers for years -but what you've done with your old photos, beautiful graphics, and great art is beyond outstanding.

The Shannon, Peerless and Hayden Quartets, the Trinity Choir, and the immortal pioneer singers on those early 78's sing on even more beautifully still, and your visuals hint at the glory which is theirs.

  • Thank you for your kind words and this was one of my early attempts. When I have time I like to be more creative but more often than not I quickly put them together.

  • meditation feeling

  • There are several musical settings of this poem. Woodbury set it in 1856. It's a fine strophic piece of the period.

  • I first heard this piece about 4 years ago at my sons school. There were four boys performing this and I was taken with it from that point. This is one of my favorite quartet pieces. Glad you like it too.

  • It was many and many a year ago in a kingdom by the sea that I last heard this one. I have looked for it for most of my life. Thank you more than words can tell!

  • Glad you liked it Mona! One of my personal favorites too.

  • Love the refined combination of string and vocal quartet! So wonderfully romantic.

  • It has a classical feeling to it. I liked the string effect too.
