  • Macross did a terrible job of predicting the future. Even now you wouldn't have just one idol on stage, but at least 48.

  • Episode 25 and 26 of Macross Frontier I now get the little nod to it that Alto's YF-25 does to Ranka and Sheryl turning to Batroid and saluting same as Ichigo did here...

  • I think the song in Robotech "We will win" is more fitting to a battle than "Do you remember love" In Macross the songs in later incarnations (Macross 2 included) are very upbeat and more to the pace of a battle.

  • Russell is correct it is called We Will Win by Lynn Minmay (sp)

  • "We will win" Lynn minmay? Is that how you spell it? Anyway I think that's the son your looking for. Haven't heard the song since I was like twelve but it was it's pretty hypnotizing you can't really forget it. Only took a little searching and I found it.

  • Mieeeeeeeeerda de música carajo

  • This comes to mind: Friend or Foe , must have been a real pain to make out there, but i know, fantasy.

  • does any one know the name of the song in macross 2 lovers again played during the air show with the "metal siren" mecha?

  • @panaceaartist There were 2 songs. The first was "Barukirii de Sasotte (Riding in Your Valkyrie)" , the second was "Ima wa Tomodachi (For Now a Friend / Only a Friend)", both sung by Tomoyo Sato.

  • BEST

    ANIME

    E V E R ! ! ! ! ! !

  • That woman is out of her fucking mind! Why would she sing in a ship under attack by a horde of space aliens????

Crazy bitch get in a giant robot and help your soldiers out. Jeez!

  • @Helldiver450

Either you're joking, or you don't know jack about Macross. For your information, that woman's name is Minmay, and she's not out of her mind. Her singing is part of the humans' battle plan. They're broadcasting her song to the aliens they're fighting, because those aliens have never heard music before and the sound of it confuses the hell out of them. With the aliens confused, that gives the humans the upper hand. The strategy may sound strange, but it works.

  • @zvermilyer3 It sounds like an idea from a Beatles Music Video. Beat the enemy with music and love.

  • @Helldiver450

You have a point there. Of course, the difference is that in Macross music and love just DISTRACTS the enemy. You need lasers and missiles to actually beat them.

  • @zvermilyer3 Doesn't hurt, either, that the Macross's shield systems blow up big time when they're overloaded.

And somehow the Macross survived it, too, despite that it took out a fleet of several million Zentradi warships, all several times the size of the puny Macross.

  • @Helldiver450

She help them. The half of the Meltrandi and Zentrandi forces join to the U.N., because she sing that song.

  • the song is amazing

  • thanks for uploading this video from a great anime.

  • Wow...I first heard this song on this music video that I got along with some Kimagure Orange Road parody I traded for back in the early 90's. Took me forever to figure out the name of this song too! :-)

  • Oh man, I downloaded this off Kazaa literally 10 years ago. God help me, I still love it.

When will SF rightfully take its place in culture back from fantasy? I never liked, and am now even sicker, of swords, zombies, and vampires - Nothing compares to a sky filled with clashing armadas lit by explosions and the blue glow of their interplanetary prize, framed above its swirling clouds and the glowing sliver of its atmosphere.

  • Is this the film where Maximillian has Dana in his Blue Valkyrie with him during a battle?

I always thought that was nuts...

  • @Hauntedman1 You mean that episode where Komilia was in the cockpit with her mom during a dogfight? Try episode 30.

  • 1:26...

  • What's with the Budweiser rocket at 4:35 (a single frame)?

  • it's not the song that is sung in the movie..

  • Comment removed

  • Holy cow... That pop singer must be like the bravest person ever to stand in the middle of a huge space battle, exposed to the perils of space to sing a kickass song to encourage everyone... Sweet!

  • the song is great!!!!

  • I just finished the Robotech Series... but this is not what happened in this episode... so what exactly is this from? An OVA or something? The animation, not the music.

  • @JOEmega64 I do belive this is from the movie "Macross: Do You Remember Love"

  • @GRr01 Thank you sir. I actually just watched it today. Great movie, beautiful animation... but, I think this song was way better for the scene! haha.

  • @GRr01 yes the original song is "Ai Oboete imasuka"

  • anyone know the name of this song?? Thanks!! ^_^

  • @jarsito1983

    Psy-S - Koori no Vision

(Released on 1990 in the Signal album, in the Two Bridges, it have a different remix)

  • awesome song great anime give me a hell yeah if you agree

  • in the words of the first anime girl i loved WE WILL WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sorry, but you did an injustice to this wonderful piece of animation, by not using the music intended for it. The song you use is good, but not for this piece of animation.

  • @kyokogodai Macross does it injustice in the series too by having her gleefully "Kyun kyun"ing over it. That's one place where Robotech is absolutely better: Using "We Will Win" instead of happy pop songs.

  • @TheBilly Totally disagree with you. Those of us, around my age, found the english dub a piece of trash. It still is. "We Will Win" absolutely sucks. The woman that "sang" that song(whose name escapes me) absolutely sucked! Perhaps if it were re-done, by a proper singer, I might chance my stance. Remember, back when Carl Macek produced Robotech, there were no true "actors/singers" that would do voice overs of anime. We Will Win blows, without a doubt!

  • @kyokogodai Good for you that you disagree, but you have nothing in your post that isn't completely arbitrary opinion. You don't like it. Great, some people like this, other people don't. Doesn't matter how crusty you are, your fickle whims don't get better with age. It doesn't fit the scene, and you can throw all the angry adjective at it you want.

  • @kyokogodai personally I agree with THeBilly, I think "we will win" was a lot better than what they origanally had in the TV sires which was the same song for pink dragon pincess (or what ever that movie that they had on the show) which made no since and did not inspire confidence. also I consider robotech and macross two alternit universes and should be considerd as such. now I will admit that I was born in the early 80's and watched robotech on TV when I was a kid.

  • cool it is operation min-may

  • where can I download this song?

  • you guys catch the upside down budweiser logo haha at 4:36? its a total flash

  • Nice song and music! Very good really! 5/5

  • Does anyone know the name of the song, or artist?

  • @x3r0k4i The song is "Koori no Vision", by Psy-S.

  • does anyone know where i can watch Super Dimension Fortress Macross?

  • I like this a lot better than the song they actually had in DYRL, or Clash.

  • Robotech in english media(Macross saga)

  • this is not the same song from the actual do you remember love movie.

  • what is the name of this movie or ova or ... ??? help

  • SWEET I have been looking for this video for years. Do you happen to have the other video that was done by this same person, the song was 'Faaji na Itami'

It was hard, but worth it!

    BEST OF THE BEST!

  • A-W_e-S-O-O_m-E

  • this is the name of the original song

    Ai, Oboeteimasu ka

  • This song is BEAUTIFUL! You could not transmit it onto my e-mail address somehow?
