I got the 40 series and it sounds much louder than that. When i try to stick to a speed such as 35 and go down an incline it sounds like a mini Jake Brake.
@smacdonaldmedic You will notice it switch every time. Especially at low speeds. It didn't drive me crazy but when I had the chance to have AFM turned off I went for it. Again it wasn't as loud as an 18 wheeler j-braking but to a much lesser degree that what it sounds like.
Nice video...I have a 2011 Silverado and I am getting exhaust tomorrow. My friend insists that the Flowmaster 40 is the best series for my truck. I like the low and loud sound.
@rhondeee I just put a K&N air charger kit on my truck and it sounds even better now. I had it tuned recently and had the AFM disabled. No more switching.
Thanks for making this video, I was using my GF's account when i had asked you a couple questions (Randibrite) I guess its not as bad as I thought, is it tolerable for lengthly rip on the highway? Guess its not really possible to figure out what the V4 sounds like from the exterior but have you noticed you getting any weird looks from anyone with this flowmaster installed while in V4 mode?
@yycvor No problem my friend. The only comments I've heard about it are from friends that I've pointed it out to. It really only bothers me I think so eventually I may just have the AFM turned off in a tuning...we'll see.

Thanks for the vid, is this exhaust dumped after the muffler, or have a tailpipe?

Is it a very noticeable change from in-cabin? Cameras don't always translate the noise as well as a first person impression
