On most US Military Bases the MP's or (Military Police_ are the only personnel authorized to carry a weapon. All other weapons on teh abse are locked up in armorys that are restricted and each individual weapon itself also has an individual firearm lock. Fort Hood doesnt even have MP's. It has armed private security officers. And they are to few for the size of this base which covers over 350 square miles.
