  • BEAUTIFUL....

  • RIP Ali my Detroit homeboy!

  • ENCORE!!!ENCORE!!!ENCORE!!!

  • Thank you for this video! I find it outstanding on so many different levels. Not only is this man a great vocalist and stylist, but he dealt with throat cancer(!!!) and later with leukemia, and he still kept his faith in God. I read that his pastor (Noel Jones) and many others who knew him had great respect and affection for him. May God bless and strengthen his family. WOW--can't you hear the music in the air!

  • The world lost a great voice in Ali Ollie Woodson. What an anointing on this song, such a blessing.

  • RIP Ollie Woodson you will never be forgotten. Now you are singing for the Heavenly Host .

  • in memory of ALI-OLLIE WOODSON

  • I'll be playing all of Ali-Ollie Woodson's songs on my next show the last Sunday in June (WFOS-FM, 3-7, on the Net). He's always been one of my favorite Temptations and I've raised more than one eyebrow when I suggested I'd rank him above David Ruffin and Dennis Edwards as their all time best first tenor. Each were special, but if I had to choose one, Ali's my choice. RIP, my brothaa, your music will NEVER die!

  • wow..i neva knew Ali sang with Rizen.. RIP

  • R.I.P. OLLIE WOODSON!

  • jesus will take care of you

  • Come on now! Give Him praise!

  • if i wuz there they would have 2 call the cops on me bcuz i this song

  • i luv this song

  • Thanks for this post. Saw this performance one Sunday on tv and loved it. He is truly blessed with a golden voice.

    GOD bless him.

  • she has madd range and she hits the notes with no problem

  • Wonderful song! His voice is ownsome. Thank you for sharing this video. He sounds a little bit like Dennis Edwards of

    The Temptations.

  • this was very good it would have been a whole lot better if tha musicians were really playing

  • Isnt Ali ollie from Columbia South Carolina?

  • I think he spent the bulk of his childhood between Birmingham and Detroit.

  • I am soooo glad that Mr Ali Ollie Woodson is using his glorious voice to praise my Dad!

  • Ali Ollie Woodson has always been praising God with his voice. I can't take the narrow approach to think that he is only praising God with his talent when he is singing a gospel song. PS: Hear him on "Broken Pieces" with the Temptations

  • Acts2744, I think you need to demonstrate that your broad-mindedness through your use of language - no need to talk about "I can't take the narrow approach" as if others are! Please "open your mind" and see that I merely said Olie was praising without qualifying whether he was doing it before or not.

    Many thanks in advance

  • Not really sure what you're telling me, but please feel free to challenge my thinking, it's the only way I learn. To respond to other comments, hasn't it seemed that he has not really found his "spot" in the music industry? I really thought the Temptations was his spot; he has had no better platform to display his talent and his voice fits that genre and that group perfectly. Where else can he be better?

  • Ali was on the gospel of music with Jeff Majors in March 2008. He said at that time he was working on a gospel project.

  • Beautiful song- but the screaming took away from the song. Ali as always did a great job.

I believe she could have hit the high notes without screaming them.

  • Waaaiiittt one minute!!!!!! is this Ali Woodson? there's something different about him, what is it. I reconize that soulful voice.

  • Yes. He does look different; I've been trying to figure it out myself. Think it is just aging, weight gain, some cosmetic dentistry, etc. But it is all good!

  • Or it could be, that he's like a vinyard wine-he just keep getting finer with time. LOL. The cheek bones seems higher(or bigger)

  • You know what, the weight is working for him. It's not that much. When he was younger, he was not a very big man, as far as I could see from his photos. But he is quite handsome for me. IT WORKS FOR ME!!! :)

  • I didn't mean that he wasn't handsome here.I didn't reconize him for a second,as a matter of fact he's very fine here-I guess I've been caught-up in his voice, I really didn't notice his looks as much, but you're right IT WORKS FOR ME TOO!!!!

  • go ali i love you and for all you other people he is my cousin and im serioshes my cousin aliah's dad

  • Hello, fabulous554

Are you really related? I am such a big fan of Mr. Woodson's. Sometimes is frightening how much I adore this man. I hope that everything is going well with him and his family, mainly his health. I understand he is the featured vocalist in the play "The Greatest Love Story Ever Told". I hope that it swings by Indianapolis, Indiana or close. It would be worth traveling a distance to see Ali Ollie Woodson. :)

  • I was elated when I found Ollie Woodsons cd's. Her hollering destracts from his looks and voice. When I'm in my car, I ride with OLLIE...Ollie my "ACE" of "HEART"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Kinda on the Patty Wagon ha ha.

  • Also, the business of music could be a hinderance for some good artists such as Ali. I know that he write songs his self, but I wonder if he had the right staff that knew how to market him, could he get the just compensation and recognition he so deserves?

  • Young singers of this current era need to realize that there is a technique with singing and that you do not have to always "squeal and holler" to always get your point across through in a song. Ali has a technique and he knows when to hit the high notes and the riffs.

  • Ali truly has a gift from God. Anytime you recover from three bouts of throat cancer and still have a voice delivery so passionate and strong, it must be annointed by God. I would love to see perform live.

  • I love this song it makes me feel so good!

  • this is a wonerful video and ollie you still sound and look good. i wish your duet partner had not oversang so much. it was not for her to duet with you. don't get me wrong, she has a great voice, but she need to audition for one of tyler perry's productions. ollie, i love your sincerity and spirit in this song. i pray for a voice like yours to be led to our church choir. God bless you, ollie.

  • I agree. This is a lovely song that requires a gentle, yet effective voice to portray it's message. Not so much a loud and overpowering voice to get the point across. This is the downfall with lot of black gospel singers. Ali really showcased his talent on this song and I just hope he continues to choose gospel songs.

  • thanks for responding. i would love for ollie to pursue gospel singing and make an album. he has the perfect gospel voice. i pray for a voice like his to show up in my church choir. have a blessed day!!!!!!!!

  • Wow!! All I can see ...............

  • All I can say is .................... beautiful.

  • does anyone know if ollie has an all gospel album? or is this song on any albums? thanks!

  • I don't know if he has a gospel album, but you can find this song on Rizen's CD which is self titled.

  • @Mandice Also, don't miss him on the "MOTOWN COMES HOME" CD. He performs a beautiful gospel song, "Broken Pieces" with the Temptations. (Ali, Theo Peoples, Ron Tyson, Otis Williams, & the late great Melvin Franklin, who talks about his life experiences as the prelude to the song.)

  • I enjoy all things Ollie Woodson! I agree that he probably is the best male vocalist alive, but am saddened that has not received recognition or compensation commensurate with his talent.

  • I got a chance to play with Ali a week ago... he's unbelievable. Honestly I think he got better in the last twenty five years. I think he's just going to keep getting better and better... amazing.

  • Without question, the best "Male Vocalist" alive today. His range, passion and delivery is unequaled. He should bring back the Ole School, that's where his money is. God Bless!

  • Awesome1 The spirit of God moved all in me!!

  • he has the voice

  • I have worked with him....way way cool, and incredible...just way cool

  • Ali is arguably the greatest vocalist still alive. He is amazing!! However, all that hollering done by the lady was annoying. She didn't match as a duet with Ali Woodson

  • love his voice

  • real singing there

  • I wish someone one would post more of his videos

  • Several of his videos have been posted and removed...it's pretty depressing.

  • I love when Ali hits those high notes!
