This and Call of Duty 1 (including UO) are the best in the series. COD4 may be declared the most popular but honestly I think that's just because people got hyped about how "innovative" the perks and killstreaks were. These games had absolutely no overpowering weapons, no noobtubes; it just required pure skill. It's just too bad nobody plays these games anymore.

@FBX100 treyarch and infinity ward use different engines, but essentially you are right. black ops uses an impoved waw engine and mw2 uses tan improved cod 4 engine. mw3 uses the same engine as mw2.

Totally incomparable. Different styles. CoD2 and BF2 are both amazing games. Both are eternal classics... But the thing is, they can actually compete in terms of having fun. Now, it's some frustrating bullshit with MW3, and what looks like a shitty community for BF3 (since it probably attracted many CoD fans, and since it was also assigned for consoles as well).

This game is the best Call of duty ever. They don't make games this polished or this well done anymore. Now they release half assed games and hope to patch it up later. It used to take years to make a new game back then because they had to get it right. Now it takes them months. Look how long they spent making MW3.
