Although there is no cure for Vitiligo, there are treatments and not to mention hope!! I also have it on my face and there is nothing to be embarrassed about because we did not cause it!! Anyway numerous people have told me that there relatives/friends had Vitiligo and they got cured! So do not worry as stress worsens it!!

i have vitiligo since i was 14, it´s not that bad as shown in the video, but it´s enough to be depressed when the sun cames out.

I hope any of you with vit are not thinking of bleaching, don't let anyone psyche you out in to thinking it is a disorder because it is as natural as spots on cows. If you look at almost every haired mammal underneath the lovely fur colors there is so called "vito", same designs. Show your pet your spots and they look at you like??? Pets know what it is.

I have it and so did my grandmother. She eventially turned all white. I'm waiting for the same to happen to me. I was treated for it at 12 to 17 years of age with ultra violet light which was successful for every part of my body except my fingers and feet. By the time I turned 26 it had returned and now I am 37 and have it all over. I wonder if it had not been treated it I would be all white by now.

i have vitiligo also and i'm 14 years old.

it has affected my life in some ways but i'm trying to get over it.i recently went to the doctor with my mom and my dermatologist gave me Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP.

it doesn't cure vitiligo but it does cover them completely.Well i hope this helps

Seriously, who is going to be looking under your arm pits? lol. That is one area that I would not worry about. The rate that it spreads varies from person to person. It can even vary within the individual. It could be dormant for years then spread like wildfire the next year.

I got vitiligo too, and I'm at her age and I'm from Norway, without any african decent. Yes, you see this a lot in black people because it's more noticeable, yet the disease is genetic and I doubt it's more common among some groups than other groups.

Hi I just wanted to share a possible treatment for Vitiligo it is known as "pixie dust" but it's real name is "cellular matrix"

If you just type "Pixi dust" here on youtube it will come up, it is the video done by the BBC. I know how hard this condition can be to deal with, and it can be very hard to explain to people just how it can affect you. Please spread the word about Pixi Dust.I think researchers need to look into this, it could help?

i have vitiligo too, but not much as yours. your disease is more than %50 of your body. you should go puva therapy. on the other hand, i heard sth. about making all the body white like albino's. you must researc about it and dont't worry we are in everywhere:D

i have it from my neck to my hips. i find that in summer if i spend a tiny bit of time a day in the sun then it tans slightly... just make sure you don't get burnt. i bet you know as well as i do how bad it hurts...

there really isnt any effective threatment, thats the problem... alltho theire working on one, something with black pepper, seems good

Not really. They have topical steroids that you can use but they tell you not to put it near your eye for fear that it can migrate to your eye and cause damage. They have UV and Puba treatments where you get in a machine and they use various waves of Ultraviolet. You wear goggles so it wouldn't hit the spot anyway. Sorry.

the best tratament is the puva method with protopic. face, superior members are easier to cure than hands and foot. i reccomend you psycotherapy as well. i bave had vitiligo since i was 22, now i am 32 and my face is cured. vitiligo teach me to respect the people by their soul.
