The reason why we need to learn Swedish, is because in Finland 5.4% of population has Swedish as the first language. In Sweden however there is very few Finnish speaking people. They don't have reason to speak Finnish.

Because if your talking many thousands of years ago there were no Sweden or Finland, there were different nordic tribes inhabiting both areas, the Swedish tribes happens to be more Germanic and the Finnish more to Finno-Ugric. Don't think that "Finnish genes" are older than "Swedish genes", that is just an off-track to real studying, because we are both peoples of a great and long history.

The reason why we need to learn Swedish, is because in Finland 5.4% of population has Swedish as the first language. In Sweden however there is very few Finnish speaking people. They don't have reason to speak Finnish.
In Finland Swedish is more important. Especially if you live in Pohjanmaa. Many companies and corporations are Swedish. Its all because of the past! Read history, lad!
