  • Oh, the early years of this show...

  • I like Glen Elendra pranksters, spellstutter sprite and mistbind clique the most of all the faeries

  • man its always faerie faerie faerie no treefolk lol well they r cool i might make that deck 2 later on right now im focusing on treefolk

  • Im making a Faerie deck for T2. Awesome deck and just wins.

  • i want to see a faerie deck without the blossom

  • it can't be done, there was some b4 morning tide but it's just suck w/o blossem.

  • "I`ll be pretty pissed off if I don`t win the tournatment" *laugh* "You better be!" :DD

  • is there a decklist for this anywhere?

  • whats the name of the song at the intro?

  • you need plenty of skill to play faeries you cant just pick it up and it will work theres too much startegy behind it, and besides who builds a deck specifically for faeries thats just dumb you guys dont give enough cred to faeries

  • yeah it's really true, i have a faerie deck, from bitterblossom to mutavaults to cryptic commands, i have every card that was ever needed for this deck, including sideboard...and it still loses half and half. shuffle your faerie decks throughly!! it's not cloudthreasher you should worry about, it's mana screwed

  • Pppppsssssstttt. Anyone tried Painter's Savant + Sulfur Elemental to beat up Fearies? It makes it so they can't play creatures. At all. And it's a 1-sided wrath against them. And they can't counter Sulfur. And they can't terror Painter's Savant. And it's easy to splash or play in almost any deck. Boo-ya.

  • that's too slow of a combo, all fearie decks can handle a painter servant, rune snag, spellstutter, slaughter pact.....but it's really nice, but a little slow

  • Gerry, who art in Indiana, in thy name we play.

  • yeah, gutteral response is a lot better than the shusher. I don't like the shusher.

  • I disagree. I think that Gerry made a good point about Response, that it just doesn't have enough targets against this deck. Mainly, it can't hit Spellstutter Sprite, whereas Shusher can stop her. GR may be able to hit Flash Freeze, Rune Snag and maybe Cancel (if anyone plays it), but other blue instants really don't see THAT much play in this creature-heavy environment.

  • If you want to play countermagic wars with blue decs then you need more than 4 cards in a SB anyway. Going 6 cards as some mixture of Shusher and Response seems the techy way to go for me. The added bonus is whichever card they see first they will assume is a 4 of, and that you're not playing the other card.

  • the problem about the shusher is that hes easily killed by any spot removal, and faerie decks run plenty

  • I'm pretty sure that gutteral response is actually really good against the deck...countering a cryptic command for 1 mana seems like a pretty good play to me

  • HOW MUCH FOR THE CAP'N T-SHIRT!

  • best deck, i agree, problem with this deck is. You need skill, u must be a great magic player to REALLY win with this deck. But thats always how control decks have been, they reward the skilled players.

If ure not skilled and still wonna kick ass then go pick up the big mana deck :) a monkey can play that heh.

  • You do not need skill to play Faeries. It's a very simple deck to play.

  • no its not, you haven't played with them have you?

  • the funny thing is faerie deck isn't very fun to play with, it's all reactionary, i guess it's the aggro in me, i hate control decks, but this deck is wierd, you cant be all control, or you slow die from your bitterblossom, but you can be too aggro too, like never use scion to pump your faeries, only to protect your faeries with the should ability, am i wrong in that?

  • i actually like to pump my faeries with it, but only when i know im going to win. like if you play the scion with 5 tokens in play and your opponent is at 12 you basically win with that pendelhaven and its great.

  • proxy a faerie deck and play it, i bet you will get pwned in the first 5 games

  • do you suggest running this tech on faeries in todays meta now? i am planning on running it now this friday ... i have all the cards i need for it but i just need to know what people think of the sideboard options he put in there if there is a better version of this deck and if i should run it with vendilion clique or sower of temptation now?

  • faerie macabes for the lark decks, bottle gnomes for burn decks, slaughter pacts and damnations. for me i play main deck 2 sowers and 2 more in sideboard, because there a bit slow, expensive and very low p/t it's only a 2/2, i like cliques, as it's an option to discard a card he has, you can only just look at his hand and have a 3/1 beater on the board, it's really up to you

  • so what is your exact build on faeries now?

  • pretty much the same as people as posted, but i play pestermites, 2 of and 2 sowers

  • FNM is generally an aggro meta so sowers in the main 1-3 sowers in the main, against control and RDW vendilion is better,

in todays meta infest is uesd instead of damnation.

  • Also, the Cap'n Tickles T-Shirt is PIMP.

  • Wow. I think I'm the first person to watch this. Go me! Good work, Evan, I was really happy to see the Faeries list he's running, because I run Red Army burn (splash black for Bitterblossom) and this matchup is an autobye, but it's still good to see how the deck is played out. Good work!
