Road to Olympos

I took the boat up to Diafani this summer and then cycled this road back to Spoa and then on to Pigadia. I can confirm that the road from Olympos to Spoa is not better than it is in this video, even though they seem to have been working on it for years.

For 18km there is no sign of asphalt whatsoever. A great ride though, if you like a challenge!

Thats for the politicians to see how we can drive there. It's a shame to have great roads all over Greece and we get stuck with a road like this in 2008. But they don't take this road when they do come to Olympos. They come by helicopter. And they don't come to see us ,but just to get the votes. Thanks for posting this video.

I thought the road had been tarmacked in 2006 ? In Olymbos I even met the Albanians who were working on it... what happened ?!

anyway, if it was you that you took the video, you should remember that this video is not from driving "to" Olymbos but driving FROM Olympos TO Pigadia... ;-)
