Snipers are okay if about 20% of the team (not the squad) are good snipers, not the WHOLE fucking team. It's the same problem that plagues certain TF2 matches.

Recon has the valuable role of: Calling Targets, Counter-sniping, artillery striking, motion sensors (see: calling targets), etc etc. This is an essential service to the team, but if you have way too many, the entire team suffers.

Being a sniper can help the team. For instance, I identify as many targets as humanly possible when not playing hardcore. Or, if there is an objective, I'll try to protect teammates going in or just counter-snipe so my teammates don't get sniped. Mainly though, I like to spot for my team as I first said.

Not ALL snipers are like that. (I use the class sometimes to pick off the guys round the M com, then call mortar strikes on it, strap C4 to it or plant motion sensors for my team to know if the station's defended or not), but MOST. Also, I reckon it shoulda been a T90 instead of an Abrams cuz the Russians are defending on Arica. Not that it matters that much.

i play this game and everyone hates on mw2 because BFBC2 is so much more realistic. if the game is so realistic then why are you bashing snipers that are a long ranges identifying targets and taking out targets. even if it is only 3-4 kills at the end of the match. do you think in real life a marine sniper is gonna go around quick scoping a defusing bombs??
