I think it's kind of sad that Aston Martin can only get 510 HP out of a V12, when Ford and GM can get 550ish out of a S/C V8 and Dodge can get 600 HP out of a V10.

To me the impressive engine to power ratios are the M5 N/A 5 liter V10 which puts out right above 500hp or the S63 AMG N/A 6.3 liter V8 which is around the same. But Bmw and Mercedes are just experts at N/A engines.

No the OBC didnt stop working, its just that LCDs flicker on camera due to different refresh rate of the LCD vs that of the camera recording.

watch the tail lights on say the Veyron when on film, or any car that has LED rears

they all flicker on and off

@renell I had the opportunity to test drive both the dbs volante and california for an extended amount of time, both on race-tracks and on the public road. It may seem strange to compare a V8 to a V12, but these cars are more similar in character than one would assume. I drove similar configurations of the two cars, so the california had the 20" rims and magneride adaptive suspension ( both are optional). The california turned out to be every bit as comfortable, more practical, and more agile.

The Ferrari is probably the better choice in terms of resale value and the overall cost to purchase and the overall cost of upkeep if any of that really matters for anyone who has deep enough pockets to buy either one. It's probably better built as well. But I'd have to drive them both to decide which I'd buy, as the most important thing when buying a car is how the car makes you feel. For looks and elegance though, I'd have to take the Aston.

Here are my opinions

Ferrari: Probably the best looking Ferrari for the 21st century, outstanding performance, nice sound and possibly the best value ferrari for the21st century

Aston Martin: Nice sound, if it didn't have a lot of air intakes or cost 50,000pounds more than the DB9, I would perfectly buy this one than the DB9.
