not its not,it doesnt go by the power brick ratings it goes by the power ratings of the console itself,falcon is 14.2 amps jasper is 12.1 amps(it says 12.1 on the back of mine(falcon doesnt have internal memory)and i can plug a 150w power brick into mine,and if it were falcon,i wouldnt be able to

falcon,and if it were to say 16 amps that would be a xenon or zephyr,12.1amps is jasper and btw dont go by the power bricks amps and watts,it could be a jasper with a 175w power brick,or a falcon with a 203w psu,just go by the ratings on the back of the console

Is it normal to get some heat on the bottom of the console (when horizontal)? Play for like one hour and it feels warm on the bottom.

yea its ok and seting it verticle is bad for the discs anyway so keep it horizontel unless if ur xbox is horizontel in a carpet then i would advise u to put in in a solid table or something. dont put a sustem like the xbox on a carpet i repeat dont but any abox 360 falcon or jasper on the carpet it will still heat up

it is the newest motherboard revision,it uses cooler running 65 nanometer cpu,and gpu,comes with 256mb of internal flash memory,and is really reliable,i have not seen 1 REAL case of red rings on jasper

Thats not true....Jaspers do indeed come with a 175w power brick. I bought a Jasper 3 days ago and the only thing to go buy is the 12.1a on the side of the system. People informed me that microsoft is actually sending jaspers with 175w power bricks to get rid of them.

If i go to a store and im going to buy the pro version ( this is going to happen around March) Do you think they'll have all Jasper's by then? If not how can i tell if it's a jasper with out opening the box?

Yes it should but microsoft right now has a big pile of 175 watt ones lying around and to be "green effecient" and to do things the cheap way they just recycle them. It will not have an impact on your Jasper tho. The xbox Jasper will only use how much energy is needed. So only the 150 W.

They do but the chances are very slim now. Some team did research and it was 16% chance. Xbox is coming out with the Valhalla ones in Fall those should reduce it to about 3 % or something ( so it will be where the ps3 and wii are). The Valhalla ones might also be cheaper because they use less material. Less Material= Less PRoduction cost . less Production cost = Cheaper 360's / More money in our wallets.

I bought the Jasper yesterday and it's great, played it for 5 hours last night and it wasn't even hot, little bit more noisy, but I recommend it! Mine was manufactured 11/17/08

Thats a lie i have purchased 2 jaspers a November 1 and a October 1 and they do get hot thats because u touch the top all the xbox360 the top is always warm its the bootom u should feel keep playing 5 hours ul have rrod in no time JASPER do get rrod my buddys jasper did 12.1 amps 150 watts power november 27 manufactured

Whaaat? Prove it, show us a video of your friends Jasper with the RROD(the real one, not the one when you slightly unplug the back to get the red light effect, a legit RROD). And Ofcourse they get warm all electronic appliances do, but they don't overheat after 5hours of game play, maybe if you play 12 hours straight but if you play for that long maybe you do deserve to get the RROD.
