  • The favourite song of Enoch Powell!

  • White niggaluvvas.

  • my sociology book got me here :P

  • Way aye Mr Partridge welcime back.

  • one of my fave. whatever our religion is......we are the same races

  • The lyrics ARE cringeworthy .....but the intention was clearly positive!

  • Nice song, we lost great emotion like this one today!

  • i always wondered what Partridge was on about, classic!

  • The INTENT of this song is what matters. Anyone who thinks that the lyrics are promoting hatred and division is not LISTENING.

As a side note. wiki has the lyrics as "Bishops and the gurus", and "Mick and Lady Faithful", instead of "Vishnus and the gurus" and "And be thankful little Mrs Graceful".

  • brilliant song nothing racist about it,quite the opposite if you listen to it

  • and something else in geordie....

  • @shitchatting ...and that's why i was looking this song up

  • They meant well.

  • Such a great, soulful voice.

  • Leave the Queen out of it,

  • @movement26 Dude. They loved Her, and they wanted her to love them, that was what they were saying! Her Majesty would smile gracefully at the sentiment.

  • Christ i hate bigots - just listen thats all -then ya wont have to hate - re-start it again and listen again

    Why hate ?

  • fukkkk offf all u kkk wannabes,its a gr8 song,no racism intended at the time,schmucks.

  • @currantcake no, I can assure you there was no racism intended, it was the same as Greyhound's " Black and White", same vibe, man - check that one out - another great 70s hit

  • MegaBampot, FinSituation....Can you not be proud of your race without being afraid of others? Racism is born of ignorance and fear and the hatred comes from cowardice ..... to hate because of colour or creed ? You just as well hate because of hair colour or eye colour or any other trait we are born with....makes no sense. Wonder if you even know anyone from other racial backgrounds....if you did you'd find there's little difference between us all....we all want to live and see our children happy

  • In my house I have a white extremist and an old hippy....he plays his swastika music and I play this :) Our false borders drawn on the planet and our fear of anything unfamiliar create so many problems.....we're all planetarians......we've only got one.....if we looked after each other what a beautiful world we'd have....the language may be un PC but the sentiment is valid :)

  • Ummmm ... I think you have the second verse wrong. Should be "Mick and Lady Faithful, Lord and Mrs. Graceful, you know the living could be tasteful ..."

  • great song

  • The world is much better with different races, but there will always be some extremists but yeah its my problem if i would see everywhere mixed race, lol chinese eyes, black white skin, russian face, it would look disturbing

  • Absolutely beautiful song, I love the sentiment and I even love the words, I know they're not acceptable today but I don't really care, I find none of them offensive and there's a wonderful message behind it. Me and my three younger siblings are all half Japanese and half Danish, we couldn't look any more different and I love it, you can't pin a single race on any one of us and if the whole world was like that then there'd be no more racism and we'd all be better off for it :)

  • I don't like all the lyrics, but it reflects the time when it was written. I love the song, because it brings back memories of an interesting time in my life; I first remember hearing it on New Years Eve 1969-1970, when I was 14.

As for you, MegaBampot, put comments like that on one of your right-wing extremist websites, not here, you ignorant racist a-hole. You are Australian; you come from a country that was stolen from black people.

  • Song written by two race-traitor white guys for niggaluvas everywhere.

  • Lol i would do a suicide bombing if the mixed race will become a majority race

  • @FinSituation What on earth is your problem?

  • mixed with yellow chinkys is my favourite lyric in this

  • @shellyD1983 me too!

  • @shellyD1983 I find this lyric especially hurtful, in fact the whole song. It doesn't need pointing out that everyone is different. This song categorises people into colour of skin and religion which is prejudice.

  • @Heavensent1972 Dont listen to it then you bellend

  • @Heavensent1972 that's a shame, it really wasn't meant that way, UK was a very different place in those days

  • Something else in geordie, you daft racist. God love you Alan Partridge

  • @HdDan13 It's alright, because it's also a food, like.

  • "Take a pinch of white man Wrap him up in black skin..."

This is dumb. It is asserting that skin colour or other genetic variations goes deeper than flesh. As if there is a white soul in a black man or so on. It doesn't; it's just skin colour. There's no such thing as a white man apart from white skin.

  • @cadmus98 not as dumb as you are for this posting!

  • @cadmus98

i'm pretty sure they're speaking metaphorically..

  • Noel Gallagher brought me here.

  • Stop being so angry, it was a different generation, so their idea was unrealistic seeing as opinions can't be shared without being degraded.

  • Really interesting to read peoples comments. Those who are disturbed by the lyrics illustrate how pc concerns have completely clouded any appreciation of a really pure sentiment: Let's all get along, that's all they're saying. And ok, the language of '73 or '74 or whenever was less sensitive but that was then when we were less hung up on minutea. Bruce Lee said "Don't think. Feel. It is like a finger pointing the way to the moon. Don't concentrate on the finger or you will miss all that heavenl

  • @Stiano77 1969

  • i remember when i first heard this song i was like 'you can't say chinkys in a song that's not right!' the older i have got the more the song makes more sense.

  • the lyrics are REALLY WRONG

  • @Dragonkeeper901 Erm why????

  • @stephenpaulbeckett well it was the 70s and there idea of rasism was different this song is great but if was realsesed 2day it would be takin the wrong way

  • @Dragonkeeper901 I agree wotally with your comment, but this was released in 1969.

  • @johnny2o2o ye basically the 70s

  • @Dragonkeeper901 The terminology in those days left a bit to be desired, but they meant well." Turn out coffee-coloured people by the score" what a great concept!

  • @Dragonrdh I don't know - it was only a couple of years ago when I sat in on a seminar and I was told in all seriousness that Beethoven was black (because he may have had a north African ancestor somewhere in his ancestry). I guess they mean well too.

  • Love it, takes me back to my first transistor radio and the joys of hearing adults sing about love.

  • Brilliant

  • man this is so sly.

here's to the experiment of elgin..

    we CAN JUST GET ALONG.

  • now this is what you call real music i love this song great 4 getin otp

  • a few of you hung up about "race" , there really are no "races" , just learned cultural responses like class and caste and colour , as said below the DNA is all the same and the song is really about that if we remove the "colour " barrier then you have to face the stupid cultural/religion differences

  • curly black and kiinkys mixed with yellow chinkies. Not pc now but back then we didn't give a flying fook. KTF.

  • @JohnBWFC1955 curly Latin kinkys

  • melting pot= destruction

    resistance

  • @mattvlad3 FUCK OFF!

  • @dragonskankin yeah brianwashed asshole, media say is great and you follow them

  • A catchy little ditty.

But the words describe a nightmare future that we're all headed towards...

  • Hahahaha, I remembering having to performing this at the Festival of Music in Adelaide when I was 12.

But they changed all the words so it wasn't 'racist.' :')

  • Can you still say that?

Aye, because it's a race of people, but it's also a foooood!

  • @TheNik778899 Thank you Steve Coogan!

hearing the guy sing 'mix with yellow chin-kies...' makes me LAUGH OUT LOUD, and that's very rare i do that online...

    : )

  • Wow, this band is really talented.

  • we all stem from the same original DNA .I AM YOU,YOU ARE ME.WE ARE 1.just a different skin tone or language dosen't change the fact we are from the same worldwide DNA.1love,love all

  • Amazing that a song about the extermination of all races is so popular

  • Thanks to Steve Coogan for leading me to this song, via his genius creation Alan Partridge. i stoped listening after 'mix with yellow chinkys'...can't help laughing because you can't believe, in this day and age, that it ever was released AND got to #3 in the charts1

    : )

    Peace to the world!

  • The first record I brought

  • Communist Propaganda....ok so where should we put the melting pot I'm tired of this our women dance like their tribal Africans in the night clubs... who the hell wants to marry that I want white woman not no mapuka dancer in the end you get Tiger Woods if you mix em all up andIve been saying that before he messed up

  • hêhe_AñÿÔnè_wÅñnÂ_chÂt_wÍth_mE_i_fEËl_sõ_lôñêlý_todÃÿ♬

  • @BabyuaZoilaaa889 You`re a 20 stone hod carrier guy from Bolton pretending to be a woman . Put some videos up on your page to prove youre a woman ! LOL

  • Melting pot larger than the world?

    I Smell 2012.....

  • WOW what can I say....loved when it was out could never get fed up hearing this beautiful song

  • memories

Kings Road, Carnaby Street, brick lane, portabello road.

this tune is so right now, in Dubai now, and its a big melting pot.

    love it

  • this song is brilliance

  • There is only one race, it is called the "human race" to which we all belong. Race is a social construct (as is nationalism), a concept that has been used for centuries to justify and rationalise the unequal treatment of groups of people by others all over the world.

  • mix it up for a 100 yrs? Well we're 60 years into it -total failure -even Trevor Philips concedes that - as intended tho by the INTER-NATIONALIST elite, everywhere destroying the nation state, dragging us kicking and screaming into a remote, Hitlerian super state & ofcourse multiracialism serves that end

successive UK govts have never acted in the interests of the majority and now they're being ordered to abolish themselves and leave us at the mercy of these austere foreign commutarians.

  • @AlanWattParrot we have a right to overthrow this!

  • lol i remember doing a verison of this in my schools production lol

  • Horrific song. Promotes the destruction of racial gene pools and the world's racial and cultural diversity.

We wouldn't promote the destruction of animal genes, so why support it with humans?

And if you think race is only about "skin colour", please read "Race, Evolution and Behaviour" by Philip J. Rushton

  • @TheMarkOfTheBeast1 what a load of pretentious bollocks some people post eh !

  • @TheMarkOfTheBeast1 Are you mad? It's a great song.

  • i grew up with clasics like this love it

  • I loved it then and I love it now. Naive? maybe but if we all had that attitude then there wouldn't be the wars and strife there are today, eh?!

  • @GalDriver1 tell it to muslims or chinese lol

  • She is so ugly,YEUK.

  • @isteve9 Hate to break it to you but these were the times where talent came before 'good looks'. Quite a good voice? A different world. just 2 years past desegregation in Dixy. The bold naiviteé of this ditty would be a joke these days, unless it was some dreadful Live Aid style shit with Justin Jonas ( joke) as a host. These were the pre-aibrushed days.

  • @theonlyantony We will have segregation again it is my Right to be in my own culture and not to be bothered! They stick a section 8 in every white neighborhood possible.... we will do away with this and then we will assert ourselves you can integrate if you want as for me I have had enough of it!!!!! I have the right to associate with who I please and I dont mean only in my house...

  • @american1476 I am so sorry that you live in a racially-tense land, wherever that might be.

The song is just a big old warm tomato of love. I don't know what a 'section 8' is or why you are responding to my comment on the singer's 'ugliness'. Your racial leanings are none of my business. i hope that you have a great spring and a fabulous summer.

  • @theonlyantony Thank you I hope you do as well Section 8 is when the government steals middle class people's money and pays for dependant class blacks to live in homes for free normally in the same neighborhoods that the taxdollars come out of it which eventually leads to robberies murder and rape in that neighborhood...

  • @american1476 How do you live? In fear or in hope? Me in live in hope. Most of our demons are demons. Life is better that we fear and better still if we hope.

  • @isteve9 what an incredibly shallow comment, like it matters and anyway who's to judge? you probably are too...ugly that is...well certainly where it matters...on the inside.

  • First time i heard this was when Alan Partridge sung it lol

  • @loopid77 You daft racist...

  • its bishops and the gurus

  • i allso remember this song from the pit street club in peckham lol summner rd estate ,allso the glengall jimmy war that was glengall rd off summner hill street great song one of my favs

  • I remember me singing this along in 1971 listening to the radio... not knowing anything from English...Thinking they were singing about a Milky Cup...Just milk, milk, milk !!!

Beuuuhhh from the cow next door.....Fantastic to hear this again ;-)

  • Hey Im of african, native american, irish and english and jewish desent and Im blond hair blue eyed, so screw that!!!

  • some people really need to chill out and relax !!!!!! this is an amazing song with no racial slurs what so ever !!! its a song enjoy it !!!!!

  • @simon5608 Hahaha i'm a big fan of the song, but no racial slurs what so ever? Yellow chinkee's? Regardless, enjoy it!

  • Brilliant thank you and loved the old photos of record sleeves, took me back that did !

  • AAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

  • I "figger" there's another word they could have used to rhyme with Asian or Chinese or yellow?

  • @DRWONE you are a fool the words they use are not being rascist they are just trying to say the world should get together and live in peace together no matter your race colour or creed

  • @billrink. You are naive. They used a racial slur in composing the words of this song, perhaps ignorantly or innocently. I don't dispute the peace and harmony message of the song, but the punchline of " Turn out coffee colored people by the score" seems to imply peace and harmony will be achieved when we're all the same color on the outside! lol

  • my first 45!

  • Revive this 2100 needs A BETTER CULTURE wake up people

  • BEST SONG EVARG!!!

  • For all the years I've laughed at Alan Patridge singing this, I never knew it was a real song! Brilliant!

    And something else in Geordie!

  • alan partridge lol

  • alan partridge lol

  • oh so fanciful! mix that lot together and you've got a confused alienated apprentice for any old mad facsist, terrorist group or nut-house

  • manta ray

  • Mixed with yellow Chinkees, yeah

  • Madeline Bell did the UK 'Just Jiuce' ads too. I think. Love her voice.

Lyrics? Not so sure. Nice idea, but in 3000 odd years its never worked!, and the songs says we only need a 100 or more.Yeah right! Sadly, I reckon more likely it'll result in a blood-bath. To kick off, put the religions in as well, remember you'll say yours, not mine is hte true God, and we can argue now. I wish I was wrong. But a nice song.

  • gr8 memz.................chur chur

  • Culture songs, hard to get rid of them hahaa, love it

  • Love this song... it's better with Culture Club though:)

  • something else in geordie

  • Love this song, a real classic.

  • curly black nd kinkies mixed with yellow chinkies...lol funny as hell....

  • the wolds anthem

  • ha ha tuneage me thinx.

  • Alan, You've popped out again.

Its not a cry for help!

  • I love it, multicultural song about yellow chinkees LOL

  • @comfy1

    hehehe tis funny.

    class song though in fairness

  • @seanybiker Yeh, you're right dude

  • @comfy1 You need to understand the difference between multicultural and multiracial. There's all the difference in the world.

  • @cantleysugar I do understand, my comment was just for humour not to spark debate

  • my dad pure loved this song, miss him always (mervy) xxx

  • So did mine! This always reminds me of him..will never forget it

  • Nice groupe, actually all musicains or backing vocalist who decided to meet regularly to records songs as a group..Put 5 songs in the UK top 40 charts between 1969 & 1971, with the fabulous Madeline Bell (see Dusty Springfield)

  • Im of black, native american, scottish irish, english and jewish decent and Im pretty handsome, but scareily im blond and blue eyed so Coffee coloured people, maybe not, but I love this song.

  • wow,a real mix... good to read

  • @Themushroomhouse1 ....you joking

    or what

  • Might not be PC now (hence hardly ever played these days), but definitely well intentioned. Madeleine Bell has a great voice. There is a nice version involving Derek Griffiths elsewhere on YT. Thanks for posting!

  • They play it on classic gold in England:)

  • That's good! I saw elsewhere on Youtube that the Irish boy band Boyzone sung it at one of their concerts too, and I would guess that would have been fairly recently.

  • That last comment sucks!...the clear difference is hitler wanted only WHITES...this songs about mankind will eventually f*cking learn that peace on earth will take time and a pinch of all of us!

  • I think you've over analised the lyric's here, take the words for what they are.........It's all about living & let live.........Easier said than done in our crazy world. Peace x

  • yeah maybe. Just dont agree with the sentiment that everyone should be the same. How awful and one dimensional would that be...

  • I agree, ideally we'd all get to be who we are, regardless of colour, race, sexual orientation, religon, shape or size even and just embrace life.

  • ha!!! prophetic!! who would've thought back then we'd be headed for a mulatto society???

  • Comment removed

  • I loved this group as a kid. I always admired Herbie Flowers as a bassist and Madeline Bell was a brilliant singer. A 1969 classic hit.

  • I've always liked the song, if only the world was that simple

  • IF ONLY IT WAS SO SIMPLE AND FAIR

  • I use to listen to this song as a kid. Love it!

  • i love the words in this song...of course people those days werent politically correct...but i always like to think it was meant with fondness.

  • how unfortunate to sing chinky!

steve wright played this on radio 2 a while back - he obviously had'n't listened to it recently.

  • This should be the anthem of the World!!! I've come looking for it today b/cos an American friend on facebook almost exactly used the lyrics without realising (I think) that this song existed. Am about to post it to my Facebook profile. Anyone know if Blue Mink are still going in any form? Thanks :)

  • this is the new anthem of the BNP NOT!

  • @Chesternationalist: Somehow, I doubt Nick Griffin would enjoy singing the backing harmonies to this classic song. ROFL.

  • SOMETHING ELSE IN GEORDIEEEEEEEEEE

  • It is....

     "Mick and Lady Faithfull

    Lord and Mrs Graceful"

    NOT

"And be thankful little Mrs. Graceful".

  • Great song ,absolute Nugget!!

  • Good melody

  • fleventy flervets

  • We might not have a coffe colored people by the score - yet - but we sure have an international melting pot in the form of people of all races, creeds and nationalities connecting through the development of the internet.

  • omg u ignorant fool, do you not no ur history.. we aleady do have a multi cultural race... n i'm proud to be a half caste australian... my mother is white n my father is a kanaka.. brought ova here on the slaves ships from the white man!!! u go study ur history then come n c me.. u idiot... fuk u make me mad!!!!!

  • Sadly racism is still rife in our culture. :(
