Wow. A really great tune, I'd forgotten about. Now I can listen to it over and over for nuances. Pete's guitar in this is stellar - really jamming. So is Entwistles bass line. I mean he's all over it. A nice touch is the background running note by Roger that is barely audible, but helps the tune's build up. And what drummer wouldn't dig the back beat? I do!
If the unimaginative clods who run the Who's CD Re-re-releases had any sense, they'd issue THIS fearsome version in a compilation (WITHOUT the "Join Together" fragment). As it is, they keep foisting the same-old stuff over and over again with no respect to the fans who REALLY want more gems like this.
