They have done such a broad genre of music (DnB, Rock, Dance, Electronic) and done it and kept it to their own style and way. How is that overrated?
@TahniRose Like i said, i like Pendulum, and the reason why i said their overrated is because their are much better DnB producers out there that arnt half as popular, why?, because Pendulums sound is commercial and ear friendly and not strictly traditional DnB. Example, Pendulums first album was DnB and it was very good, in silico was rock/dnb and immersion is dnb/rock/dance/dubstep, so what im saying is their genreless, much like how the prodigy use to be electronica and now their elec/punk
@TahniRose (Continued)..- Im into DnB so i listen to all the best DnB albums, so when i listen to a pendulum album and i hear them experimenting, it actually weakens the experience for me coz i start listening to it only coz im a DnB fan and im expecting to hear some cutting edge DnB music, but instead im listening to a tune that has hints of DnB and then starts rocking out. Put simply, your average person that listens to Pendulum dosnt listen to DnB, they just like Pendulum
@SamHain1031666 yes your right, but what you were saying in the first place was that they're 'overrated'. what do you mean? you have to put that into context. if you say 'they're an overrated DnB band' then yes your right, because they don't limit themselves to DnB (which personally i think is fucking awesome, and their own style just owns),
@TahniRose Its like this, lil wayne can rap, and hes pretty good, but hes been pushed in peoples faces more so than someone like KRS1 who is a billion times better, same goes for Pendulum, yes their very good at what they do, but theyve been put infront of peoples faces more than Blu Mar Ten, Icicle or Alix Perex so their more popular, but their certainly not better and thats why their overrated, because the people that rate them so highly dont know any better, Sub focus is as good
@TahniRose Yeah they are very good, i loved their first album, i rate it as one of the best DnB albums ever, 2nd album didnt do it for me apart from midnight runner and immersion had a handful of tunes i quite liked, i just think in silico and immersion are forgetable, i wont remember those albums years from now, but ill remember hold your colour. Do you like The Prodigy?, i think their the best of all time, my favourite producers ever, i dont care how well known they are lol, their the best

I just freekin love them so much. Yeah i love The Prodigy, although i must admit I don't really know many of their songs. I should buy one of their albums. Suggestion as to which one?

As for a good prodigy album their best album is called music for the jilted generation, but thats a bit old now so i think you should get their latest album, some people think its their best album and i must admit, its fucking incredible, better than immersion in my opinion, oh yeah the albums called Invaders Must Die
