aguild2011 the reason why africa is such an important factor in our fraternity is because we are the first fraternity to establish chapters in Africa and the first to have national presidents in our membership such as Nelson Mandela, Kwame Nkrumah and Dr. Nnamdia Azikiwe. So its not direspect its more of respect of our roots.

What's the deal with those African charms around their necks? I don't know how good of a school Howard is ,but Africa is a Continent not a country. Those African charms ( red, black and green) are very disrespectful and very discriminator. Is wearing those African charms even part of this Fraternity's history? Or is this debasing symbol the work of a fraternity member hijacking this fraternity's history? Coz last time I check people from Africa look down at African Americans.
