If I were Dawn in this video I would not be capable of uttering a single word. As I understand it, puddles on the floor are not very good at saying anything.
I really wanted to see her get married in a dress.....the Pj was mad but still!! I would have killed the lot of them!! But on the light of things, her patience and non egoitic attitude is inspiring!
I love that they've written Harry to just go along with anything weird that happens and not care at all. He's such a sweetie. And Richard plays him wonderfully.
@jradical242 "I give/pledge you/thee my troth" just means, I give you my pledged word, I vow, I take an oath. You can give someone your troth outside of the Church. The Holy Order of God refers to the Church. "He has taken his holy orders" means he's been ordained as a priest.
i know im probably really stupid and missing something here. but what is the funny significance of harry's middles names 'jasper kennedy' ? i love Vicar of Dibley but nevr understand this bit
I seem to remember, in a previous long ago episode when Geraldine was asked what her middle name was - she stated it as being Boudica - well to be true she said that it was her first name and that her middle name was Geraldine but she didnt like Boudica so used Geraldine instead not all those other names as used in this episode
@samsagitarias wow really? I don't own all the episodes so can't go and check, but that's pretty funny. Of course you can just say it's creative license or she was just joking about Boudica in the previous episode :)
@josietrott yes, I dont own any of these myself, but i just remembered it cos it was the episode where David Horton proposed to Geraldine, and it came up when she was having her dream/nightmare about marrying Horton - , wierd you wouldve thought that they wouldve picked up on that themselves - and given the chap she marries the funny long name LOL
As lovely as it is that Geraldine finally marries her prince charning, I cant help but feel a little cheated by the whole getting wed in P.J's. I know its funny, but for as long as the series has been running, Geraldine has dreamed of finding Mr Right and getting married instead of performing a marriage. She has planned and longed for the day, and she looked beautiful in her original wedding outfit, and it wouldve been so much better if they had just left it as it was.
thank you ver so much Pinktiggertiger I have never seen the whole xmas specialbefore as its really hard to find in germany. Thanks a millionit was excellent
I don't think there could have been a more perfect ending, especially Harry explaining he joke at the end so that Alice gets one at last. everyone's happy!
it ended so perfectly though so i don't want them to ruin t like only fools did with th uncle Albert France thing cos that sucked!!!! this is the perfect ending and dawn looked so pretty even in her PJ's!
you are a legend dawn...as is all the cast, ive watched most episodes many times over here in the colony (australia) but never saw the final episode, so thank you for letting me see it here;)
Dawn, you are one gorgeous woman, inside and out. From the colonies, I must say,you always make me laugh when I'm bummed out, along with your partner in crime, Jennifer. Thank you. Thank you also to the poster for uploading. Much love from the states. Peace.
This is one of the many golden gems of british comedy. the writing is genius, well done richard curtis, dawn french, what a woman, i can't think of anyone who could have played geraldine better. lond live vicar of dibley
Oh man....think I did me-self an injury laughing so hard!
Thank you for posting this episode! And speaking as a long-time Whovian (since the 70's!) I wish I would have thought of the Dalek idea! lololololol!!!!
Ok!!! I'm sad:( I've been such a hardcore Vicar of Dibley, Fan! Not to mention, and I don't care what the Church says about a Vicars lifestyles; I would snog her anyday!!!! Thankyou pinktiggertiger for putting this on here, was not able to catch this on the tele. Bittersweet, I'm gonna miss this sitcom dearly! Everyone on this show was so enjoyable, and lovable, and unforgetable! We love you Dawn French, abisenia! XOXO :)
I never suspected she would get married. I've seen many episodes on US television, but never the finale. Glad to have finally seen it and thanks for putting it up!
