@jradical242 "I give/pledge you/thee my troth" just means, I give you my pledged word, I vow, I take an oath. You can give someone your troth outside of the Church. The Holy Order of God refers to the Church. "He has taken his holy orders" means he's been ordained as a priest.

I seem to remember, in a previous long ago episode when Geraldine was asked what her middle name was - she stated it as being Boudica - well to be true she said that it was her first name and that her middle name was Geraldine but she didnt like Boudica so used Geraldine instead not all those other names as used in this episode

As lovely as it is that Geraldine finally marries her prince charning, I cant help but feel a little cheated by the whole getting wed in P.J's. I know its funny, but for as long as the series has been running, Geraldine has dreamed of finding Mr Right and getting married instead of performing a marriage. She has planned and longed for the day, and she looked beautiful in her original wedding outfit, and it wouldve been so much better if they had just left it as it was.
