  • @Acespyro I grew up with the spyro - series, and rayman but i've never heard of croc lol. awesome games :)

  • @katrinonus I totally agree w/ u on the games topic. I grew up on the Sony Playstation with Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy, Crash Bandicoot, Spryo, Croc, etc. They really don't make games like this anymore. The graphics have gotten better and more realistic, but the gameplay just isn't the same. Whats worse is this new generation has developed the thinking that graphics are everything in a game. You and I both know thats B.S.

  • I was wondering kattinonus, are you single? jk jk

  • You gotta love how the dragon with the name of an almighty god of thunder in Norse mythology has the whiniest voice I've heard in a while.

  • I watched Spyro 2 before this and you laugh a lot here. You have a cute laugh. :D

  • Oh how I remember Toasty giving me a tough time when I was but a sprout.

  • this game has a lot of 'health' EXCEPT in boss areas

  • It reallyu does disappoint me that insomniaac games gave up on Spyro and now the series has gone downhill... yes I like Ratchet and Clank, but Spyro will always be my favourite series on the PSOne <3

  • dose anyone else feel conected to ketrinonus or any1 rly wen u played the same stuff or had the same memories???

  • I remember being 7 and getting a PS1 w/ Spyro 1, cool boarders 3, and rugrats. Those were the good times.

  • Games were so much harder when I was younger. I must have been 11 when I got Jak 2, and one part was so hard that I only manged to beat it in one of my plays. I tried it several times in the following years but that one mission always halted my advance. So 6 months ago (I'm 18 now) I started a new game, played the game till that point and passed the mission on my first try. I was like; Is this how easy it was? Back then I had to try all the missions more than once. Now only in 2 missions :)

  • @HaistaPaska92 The only one I didn't beat was the original because I lost it before I found all the Power Orbs after beating the final boss. It really ticked me off.

  • @katrinonus

when I was like 6 or 7 I was afraid of the egg thief lol

And it was so hard when I was young lol

  • Morrowind is a good game.

  • Would you be concerned if while watching this video I had a....well... lets call it a reverse fart...

  • have u ever noticed that most dragons are repaint/copys of other dragons

  • @Bumblebee13241 Such was the glory of 3D! I don't think anyone cared back then.

  • butt

  • You know what? If a game doesen't work for me i just lick the back side of it and wipe it off on my shirt and it always works.

  • @agilityman8 Mad skills ftw!

  • Ever played Crash Bandakoot?

  • "because Im that awesome" *rams into a stone* XD

  • dudette your awesome lol, Id love to play the FF 8 with you, but its a shame that i dont have a ps one yet

  • this game reminds me my childhood (: i used to play that on ps1. it was my favourite game with crash bandicoot.

  • Your SNES exploded 'cause you spilled cocaine on it?

  • hahaha

  • @ultimatebman

Crach Bandicoot is just a wee bit better than Spyro Dragon, in someone else's opinion.

Remember what Sega did to keep the Genesis alive?

Sony should do that with the Playstation 2.

  • @SmallvilleSoraKent

I never said anything about Spyro the dragon, crash bandicoot, the Genesis, or the PS2, all I did was say hahaha because I thought your post was funny.

  • @ultimatebman

Because that person spilled crack-cocaine on their SNES?

  • Also Sony did make a slimmer version of the PS2

  • @ultimatebman

But at the cost of no fan inside it to cool it down.

  • I thought you were kidding, you don't honestly think she spilled crack on her SNES, and the PS2 slim doesn't need one, it doesn't have overheating problems, and again I never said anything about crash bandicoot, spyro, the Genesis, or the PS2, I think you got me mixed up with someone else.

  • @ultimatebman Yeah, I've still got mine. It's about the size of a DVD case.

  • To get to Sunny Flight just jump on all of the stone platform thingies in the water. You'll hear a rumbling and it'll open up. Or you can wait until you get to Wizard Peak. One of the dragons there will tell you about a speedway hidden between the two waterfalls. :D

  • nooooo, not the load screen D:

  • 3:40 I agree they don't make good games like they used to, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot were the top greatest games along with Tomb Raider. They seriously don't make them like this and I miss that :( Good playing

  • for me spyro was one of the best games

  • about the speed challenge u can do it at the beginning by just hopping on every stone

  • Spyro the Dragon was like...one of the very first video games I've ever played...maybe the second even. It brings back so many frustrating, happy, and fun memories. Good video games like this one are not made much anymore. They pretty much murdered Spyro in the newer games. This is a very classic game, and you do such a good job with your let's play videos.

  • I got this for my seventh Birthday and loved it, unfortunately, the disc became ruined and we threw it away, thankfully I take better care of my games now.

  • X+[] makes you run faster... it works in every spyro game. I love that move.

  • Toasty! :D

  • how do you record your play throughs?

  • yeah the first spyro was just amazing. i was pissed when mine broke

  • Heh, oh I remember my old SNES days, though back then I didn't even know what it was called. I think we might've had a NES before, too. But I know our SNES died when our cat jumped ontop of the TV and pushed down a vase with flowers and water and RIGHT onto the console. It shorted and that was it. After that we didn't have a console for a couple of years if I recall correctly.

  • OOOoo...I also grew up on SNES...When I was little my favorite game was Mortal Combat 3...I know not the right game for like a 3 or 4 year old...haha I kicked butt in that game!

  • you know for the stage behind the waterfall, all u hadda do was jump on every stone. if u jumped on the last one it wuda opened lol

  • When I was going over a lake, I got raped by one of the Bull's and they pushed me over the edge. I was so pissed!

  • lmao, toasty.

  • yeah town square

  • nice LP katrinonus

  • OMG! The blue dragon's name is the same as my surname! Very interesting, I know.

  • i loved the Snes i played all Dk games all the mario

    now i miss it

  • they really dont make games like this anymore. all the new spyro games are disapointing and i still love all my old ps1 games. i sold my ps1 but i play them on my ps2.

the next gen of gaming ain't all its cracked up to be......

  • @sirdownloadsalot Graphics don't make a game!

  • @sirdownloadsalot Beating a side-scroller was a major achievement back then. It still is, but no one really gets into them anymore unless they grew up with them.

  • @sirdownloadsalot I know this comment is from a year ago, but i'll respond to it anyway

Next gen games are great but unfortunately i won't look back and feel nostalgic about my 360/pc games. Ps1 and insome sense Ps2 is my nostalgia. The only game i could go back and play on xbox 360 is Halo 3 and CoD4(CoD4 being THE BEST and only CoD i like)

  • omg i misss this game so much!

  • omg... u caught him before the jump...? xD

    even i didn't manage that! xD u rock <3

  • ythat sucks losing all complete data for final fantisy 8

  • my two favourite Spyro games are the 1st one (just because they had the theme original) and spyro the eternal night (for the gba) since it seemed darker. I haven't played the Wii, ps2 or DS games though, but they don't 'look' too appealing to me (story & gameplay wise).

I'm glad you did this let's play.

  • From 7:37 to 7:45, you were so close to glitch the game to open Sunny Flight (I think) and not backtrack at all from Magic Crafters.

  • i grew up with snes to and i still have it. me and my bro just got some new plugs and controlers and stuff so i have been playing a lot now. still love all the old games. =]

  • I loved still do this game this was the first video game I ever did oh an try the steping stones for the speed level

  • If i had the money and knew how i would make a classic Spyro game not such a God of War ripoff like the last one.

  • ummm yea i was wondering what divice you use for recoreding this video becuse i want to start making lps to like really badly and wear can i get then i mean camras and web cams sure nut im wanting a thing were i can play a game like pac man world 2 or something like that

  • you had ALL the ff8 cards!? you must have the patience of a saint

  • how do u film this>?

  • this is no spyro 3 is the 1

  • I totally agree with you. The greatest games of all time have been made already, and they will never make games like them again. It depresses me too... games nowadays pale in comparison to the originals.

  • @SniperNightOwl buy this on PS classics

  • @SniperNightOwl Now all anyone cares about is graphics and multiplayer. It's pathetic, really. If you aren't a hardcore Multiplayer, then you suck. What ever happened to having fun?

  • Nice video, as always. 5 Stars.

  • spyro 3?

  • You didn't like Dark Hollow, but it was always my favorite XD

You could have done the flight world already, the stones might not light up, but it works.

  • Same, I was only 5 at the time, but I loved the music for that level...I can't even remember how it went though...

  • Town Square was the first level in Spyro that I ever played. I played it in a demo from my Crash Bandicoot 2 game I believe. Crash Bandicoot 2 was my first ever game I got for my playstation and thats how I got into Spyro was from playing the demo from Crash Bandicoot.

  • Yep, that's how I discovered Spyro :)

  • wow that sucks about your SNES :(

i still have mine. its like my old school baby.

i wish i could find an old NES somewhere.

  • I always played this when I was younger and never bothered to check my progress in gems, dragons, etc. That would of made this game soooo much easier lol

  • actully i've been told buffers you can buy don't work messes up the game even more

  • Lies! I've used one before and it's fixed my games to where I can play them again. Some buffers my do that but mine has never done that to any game I have owned.

  • wow my buffer sucked then :destroys it:

  • I'm sorry.

  • @katrinonus tell me the brand name

  • @katrinonus What buffer did you use?

  • lol Yeah I play a lot of video games as well. Omg its hard to get everything for Final Fantasy 8 T_T i cant even beat my game i am at like the final boss and my game is scratched and freezes when i go to fight him. I miss a lot of the old games. Its so hard to find them these days too.

  • Get it resurfaced or buffer it. You can get buffers from target and places like that.

  • All right I tried it once but it probably wasnt a good kind. Thanks for the advice.

  • Your welcome. I don't know. Was it electrically run or did you have to crank it yourself?

  • well it was more like this strange liquid stuff that you rub on it and it was suppose to help the scratches my dad had gotten it

  • There are buffers available at Wal-Mart and Target for twenty dollars or so. I think. Look for a crank one. They work better than the electrical ones. I hope that helps!

  • Alright thanks I will go get one as soon as i get the chance.

  • i agree with you, there isnt many games like this anymore :( i wish universal studios could make a comeback and make a new spyro game, not the crappy ones sierra makes

  • I know. Like I said I'll do the ones after Year of the Dragon if you all want me too.

  • @katrinonus I liked the observation that you made with how much video games have changed since the NES-Playstation 1 days. Now, it's less about great gameplay and more about how pretty a game must look to sell. We just don't see too many games that can balance good graphics with good gameplay as much. Especially with platformers like this.
