@TalkingToPlants Legroom is the primary limiting factor when it comes to the Mazda5's third-row comfort, but seeing as that you're both about a foot shorter than me I suspect you should be able to sit comfortably back there. If you need a little extra room, you can always ask the person in the second row to slide their seat forward. ~ Mike Hanley
Our Mazda 5 is outside pontosblue. One disadvantage is that for the interior is only black color available. In Europe they don't sell a 2,3 l engine. Here we get 1,8 l (115HP) and 2,0 l (146 HP)-petrol engines and two 2l commonrail turbodiesel engines (110 or 143 HP). For the 2l-petrol engine you can order a 5-gear-automatic-box. On other European highways with speedlimit I like to use the cruisecontroll. On hot days the automatic A/C works very good.
I'm living in Germany and since February 2009 we have a new Mazda 5 2,0 l 16V with 146 HP and manuall 6-gearbox. I'm very sattisfied with the comfort and the variability. It has 7 seats (3 in the middle and two in the back wich could be folded into the ground). After 6.000 km the consum of patrol is reduced. When it was new it used lots of patrol. On German highways without speedlimit are 200 km/h possible but I prefer between 130 - 160 km/h. Next week we go on holiday with our 1,1 t-caravan.
it's a nice MPV but the europeans get the better one. it has 7 seats. 2 in the front, 3 in middle and 2 in the back, wonder why they did not make it an option here.
Jerry, my dad used to drive Accord and got tried of its old styling that caters to older adult drivers. It is a fine car, but the styling and driving dynamics are unlike the sportiness of the Mazdas. It says a lot that we switch our loyalty.
That is nice. My wife is the owner of our new Mazda 5 2,0l, but she doesn't like to drive it because she thinks it's too big for her. So I drive it the most time and she likes to use my 1998 Mazda 626, also a very good car. Wish you much fun with your Mazda 5
hottstuffou, you are that one who has been always yelled at by you mom to shut up, and you are the one who is not shutting up. ask your mom, and she will tell you "YOU ARE A DISGRACE!"
Me and my brother are about 5'2" and 5'1" each. Can we fit in the back row?

I really do like it. However, I wish the 3.7L from the 6 would at least be an option.
That's unfortunately a deal-killer for me.

it's a pretty cool car even if you have no kids. I could probably fit a bit in the back and not look like Chester the molester driving this 'van'

johnkimble2007 3 years ago 7
No kidding. Needs a 200+hp option. Or better yet throw the entire Mazdaspeed3 drivetrain in there.
