My first memory of Dean Reed is when he washed the USA flag in Santiago, Chile (where he lived at the time). He said it was filthy, stained with the blood of both Vietnamese and US soldiers. I think that he was not allowed to go back to the States after that. The year was probably late sixties? Thanks so much for posting this material (unknown to me).
