I still don't see why people hate this film so much. It reminds me of the hatred that is currently being spewed towards 'Scott Pilgrim vs the World.' Both Scott and Speed's films had some very impressive stuff to them, but got shot down for often stupid reasons.

There's a trend with audiences being biased against anything that's too different when it comes to trailers. Much like Iron Giant, Tron, or Nightmare Before Christmas, certain films are just years ahead of their time and won't find their audience until later. This is especially true with Scott Pilgrim. That movie is destined to become a delayed classic.
