Oh, I guess this is when they changed Electric 106 to Eagle.

@MitziDeMarco4 That is correct! This was just two days after they put a bullet in the head of Electric 106. Marlrite, owner of Z100 in New York had just bought WTRK, and they wasted no time blowing up the old format. I just realized I put the unedited audio on this air check! I guess it will just stay that way!

@ebfeaster I can't get over how many changes this station has had. Yeah, Electric didn't really played the stuff from 85 and back but I still have great memories of it. Do you know how long Eagle lasted? The last time I listened it was 1994, I think. I know when the L.A. Riots broke out, they played a special version of Louis Armstrong's What A Wonderful World. I taped that on tape somewhere.

@MitziDeMarco4 WEGX lasted fro, Spring 1987, to March 1993 when it changed to Smooth Jazz, WJJZ.
