  • Why blame it on the footwear? It can happen to anyone wearing any footwear especially the soft-soled ones. So why blame it on crocs alone? I have a kid and his crocs is his most favorite footwear, but never had mishap on the escaltor. Why? because I teach him where he should be standing and what must he do and not do during an escalator ride.

  • WARNING Do not where crocs on escalator

  • fuck you parents don't buy your kids thin shitty rubber shoes your own damn fault.

  • I got hit by a car once, I was never told be Nike to look both ways when crossing the road. Can I sue them?

Any soft soled shoe has the same risk of getting trapped.

  • lol retards

  • And THIS is why I prefer to use the lift...

  • crocs arent all purpose shoes you cant go to a funeral in them..

  • @ijustneedagoddamnacc Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Chuck Norris were from America. You call them stupid?

  • What are you people, American?

    1. Tell your fuckin kid stay clear of the escalators side! By the way that is how it's supposed to be used.

    2. ...

    3. PROFIT!!!

  • @ijustneedagoddamnacc we are americans. people are gonna die for stupid reasons. nuff said.

  • Meh, they are fugly anyway.

  • The problem is with the design of escalators, not with the shoes.

  • I have crocs, I think it's unlikely to get a SIZE 9 FOOT stuck in a damn escalator!

  • this happend to my sister...and we never saw her crocs again!!! it got pulled in!!!!

  • NO!!! NOT THE CHILDREN!!!

  • That little girl is so cute

  • Nobody in the world should wear crocs because a few kids don't know how to use an escalator. Perfect logic.

  • @JKTCGMV13 or because they are fugly as can be. =P

  • @JKTCGMV13 when i was kid i did not wear any crocs but other shoes or sandal.

But my mom told me in first time i use escalator to avoid the yellow line area and i follow the advice until now.

now i wear crocs all the time thanks for her advice to me.

another perfect logic is parent should teach their kids too. my mom teached me, why other did not ?

  • natural selection

  • I LOVE CROCS. iF this issue poses really a great commotion and litigation and danger to your love ones specially kiddos, guess what? PARENTS:

    1. DONT BUY THE PRODUCT! stop buying the product.

    2. DONT RIDE THE ESCALATOR AT ALL

eND OF THE story! Simple solution, but people nowadays have lost their COMMON SENSE. yawwwwnnn pfffft!!!

  • somehow i knew suing would be involved! just dont wear crocs when you are going to be on an escalators! its not that hard people stop tying up our legal system on frivolous lawsuits!

  • @mandy26lez When its millions of dollars involved then some metaphysical notion of good citizenship not abusing the judicial system doesnt count for shit.

  • The solution isn't to stop wearing Crocs completely, it's to stop fucking wearing them on escalators...

  • @GorbagIl

Sure, I'll remove my Crocs in the middle of mall and remain just to go up an escalator :P

  • @Pestinha92 Fine, don't wear them to places you know have escalators :P

  • กรี๊ดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดดด

  • my sister wear crocs got stuck in escalator no injuries plus she didn't cry but continue to eat ice-cream while my dad worries to hell

  • @MrOtaku93 Wow! That was a close call. She was very lucky.

Your dad must have been aware of the danger, when that happened to your sister.

I strongly suggest you not to let your sister continue to wear her Crocs shoes out.

  • Honestly, the way in which this was demonstrated is a pretty unbelievable scenario. With an actual foot being inside of the Croc, the chance of that occurring would be reduce pretty significantly. While I'm sure there is a risk for elevators, any shoe can be caught and do the same damage

  • @SpencerFcp Are you saying that you have to personally experice this to believe? That is too bad for you!

"any shoe can be caught and do the same damage"??? Any shoe? Really?

You don't know what you are saying.

  • Really this comes down to the parents. Parents need to be aware of their children when riding escalators. This is certainly not a design flaw of the shoe or escalator.

  • @TheMagachekk Sounds like you are a parent that your child will "never" encounter any "accidant", right?

  • thats so stupid thats like sueing a soda company for a kid choking on a can tab because the can didnt say (small parts)

how could the company thought of every possible circumstance

  • @NevadaTergesen What about the company has already been sued numeral times for the same kind of accidants related to their products over and over again? They know very well this kind of accidants injured so many young children, but still contunue to promote their soft Crocs shoes for kids. And there is still "not a word" on their product tag indicating such danger. Obviously, they intentionally hide this fair warning to alert the parents, in order to successfully promote the sales.

  • I'm glad my younger siblings don't even like crocs

  • @jamPrinny11 Smart choice!!

  • -_- y mi mami me dijo que me compraría unos jajajajajaja

  • :-O Oh Pol Dioss!

  • Why sue crocs and not the scalator companies then? (which is retarded in both cases) probably because it will get more headlines and it will be much easier for the lawyers representing them to make money. Shit happens, deal with it, a footwear company cannot think of every possible scenario in which wearing their product MIGHT put someone at risk.

  • @perolito83 why not sue their parents, no adult has that kind of accident, only child, and why is that? i think its because their parents do not safeguard their own children properly, thats what i think about it, we never looked that way, right?

  • @ockytf Wrong! Think again!!

  • I wont use those satanic shoes again.

  • I don't know if there is any other child got injured on escalator wearing Crocs shoes, has toe amputation. What happened to my 4-year-old granddaughter from foot injury because of wearing Crocs shoes, her pinky toe was mangled. The bone of her pinky toe was crushed into pieces. Yesterday morning, she had another surgery for debridement, which is the surgical removal of dead tissue. The following week will be another surgery for skin grafts. They are taking one day at a time. So stressful !!

  • @sliplover That is so not true. It is only your personal opinion.

If you were the parent, would you rather to get some money out of your own child's permenant injury? Or, you would pay any price to reverse what has happened to have your child the way they were before injury?

It is easy for you to say what you said, just because you don't understand at all. I strongly suggest you take it back. What goes around, comes around. Perhaps, accident happen to you, then you'll see.

  • kids dont know hot to wear crocs mayby?

  • @SlayerKnightDX There are already hundreds of young children wearing Crocs injuried their foot seriously at escalator. The figure of injuries is constantly growing big, because it is not opened to public.

It is not for kids to know how to wear Crocs , rather it is how Crocs make the shoes for kids and endanger them.

No kids will be barefooted on the escalator to get hurt, so that they wear shoes. They never knew that the Crocs shoes would pull their little feet into the escalator.

  • @Snowbird1222 what?

  • @Snowbird1222 - Your correct in saying its 'not for kids to know how to wear cocs' because its the PARENTS responsibility to show their children how to wear them and how to use a escalator. You make it sound like Crocs is all for endangering children by saying 'rather it is how crocs make(s) the shoes for kids and endanger them'. Jelly shoes will do the same thing...Why arnt those on the hate list? Its sad that they got hurt but full blame cant be put on crocs.

  • I am shocked, when I heard my dentist told me her one-year-old son also has a pair of Crocs shoes.

I told her my granddaughter's pinky toe has just been amputated, because of wearing Crocs shoes and mangled by the escalator. She heard me, and is smart enough to decide to toss away Crocs shoes.

You figure it out for yourselves, if you still want to continue wearing these shoes and take a chance.

  • the crocs do look like croc @2:02

  • I just witnessed one at the mall. O.O

  • Don't buy crocs shoes for your children !! My granddaughter was wearing crocs shoes last Saturday, and her foot got caught by the escalator. The crocs shoe was caught at the edge, and twisted around become perpendicular toward the side of the escalator, and shredded in her little toe. It took the paramedic solid 20 minutes to get her foot out of the escalator and the crocs shoe. Now, we are praying that her little toe will be saved.

  • ____(Cont'd)______________

This is a painful and bloody experience about letting our young generation wear this product, and put them in danger. The garvernment should recall and ban "CROCS" !! They are not doing anything about it at all, even though there are already many of this same tragic accidents have repeatedly happened to young children.

No more CROCS for children !!

  • @melodydamor i'm aware from many reading that crocs did not put any warning about this and thats wrong too.

but you should teach your kids about safety on elevator and escalator too... this can happen even with bare feet or with any shoes...

  • @msgrafis @msgrafis You do know what "accident" means, right? It happens when you least expected, all because there was no fair warning of the hidden danger. Do not make your comments without thinking carefully!! Please be considerate, not to put blame on the parents for their innocent child got tragically injured. Or else, by doing so, you are refreshing their pain and causing more damages to them psychologically.

  • Again, the hidden danger of the Croc shoes on the escalator was not revealed until many innocent children were severely injured.

  • im glad thesse were'nt even around when i was young...

  • im now scared to wear my doggers! there croc sneakers!

  • Ichfoo, you're soooo right! Some people should NOT be parents. Blame someone else for their negligence. All of this is preventable, PAY ATTENTION PARENTS!! Put the cell phone down!

  • @TschNJ What about those mothers did not using cell phone at the time accident happens? Are you also going to blame on the mothers to excuse Crocs?

I know my daughter for one, definitely is very cautious taking care of her children. You must realize that it happens too quick for any mother humanly possible can, to save the child from injury in this case.

Only if Crocs had given fair warning of the shoes, these accidents should not happen at all. Crocs children shoes must be banned!!

  • ... or we can just ban escalators since normal stairs are healthier anyway. Problem solved.

  • @OMGWTFBBQCHEESEFRIES It's about time to inprove the escalators.

  • @asleepylagoon I have good ideas for the design of the escalator, to prevent this kind of accident happened again.

  • Croc shoes are the most dirty piece of crap on the market....I haven't met a person wearing croc shoes who didn't have stinky feet so, therefore they aren't hygienic or the owners are filthy pigs that wears plastic bags over their feet in the shower so they don't wash them...

  • @potatocrackers The Crocs shoes contribute more injuries on the escalator, especially to the young kids.

  • @potatocrackers So, you were there on the sight and saw that someone wasn't careful or use the escalator properly, when those accidents happened, right?

Who are you to judge? -_-

Tell you what, you are the one should be thrown out of the court, if you are present.

  • Those Crocs shoes look very cheap, to be honest.

  • @nothingbuttthis They are !! But the sale price is not cheap, though.

  • @asleepylagoon I'm pretty sure.

  • Natural Selection

  • The problem with the experiment shown, is that it was a croc with no foot inside it!

  • This is why escalators have warning signs. This could (and has) happen easier with Flip-Flops and Tennis Shoe strings then with crocs, i mean come on!

  • crocs are FUGLY

  • Umm you are not meant to put your foot on the side of the elevator. Otherwise it's fine.

  • Its all about TAKING care of the ones who DEPENDS on us. You can be caught in any shoe if you are silly enough to dont take care when you are on escalators. If you play on the DANGER LINES obviously youll be injured. And if the escalators doesnt have yellow lines I think that like PARENTS we are clever enought to say our kids to use escalators correctly.. I think is common sense.. but well, we love to blame THINGS instead of blaming us of being careless....

  • @ninkstar In fact, those incidents did not occur as you assume. It is not right to judge people, base on your imagination.

You were not there to witness what has happened. What you said could psychologically injure these people who are already traumatized by the injuries happened to their kids, if you guessed wrong.

When the accidents occured to those people, they were either at the airport or the shopping mall. Common sense, they don't have that kind of time fooling around playing.

  • I have never had any trouble with the Croc.

I wear them everyday 5 different color. I keep them clean and free of smell by washing them once a week using dishes soap. It works.

One of them is 4 year old. I use it almost everywhere including work as a handyman.

One I had learn cannot walk on hot blacktop pavement that feel like you are walking with a barefoot on the hot pavement

Those who were injury from the Croc was not been careful where they walking. I been hurt my foot few time wearing them

  • even excalators hate crocs.

  • thats why never...step on the yellow fking line...my mother just bought me a crocs...but shes not here im searching for commercial and this came out...XD

  • oh my god... Over 100 kids, Probably well behaved. Sometimes bad things happen to good people and crocs should realize that. They are the cause for those injuries.

  • @Ball4184 no there not, EVERY type of shoe gets caught in a escalator. people like you just need something to blame.

  • @SIurm Stop trolling and act like an adult or nobody will like you. Oh wait, nobody does like you. not even your family.

  • @Ball4184 all i did was correct you, and look how you handled the situation. i bet nobody likes YOU in real life. dont write back faggot

  • @SIurm Oh, how about you make me not write back you hypocrite?

  • @Ball4184 Not just 100 kids. The figure is still growing big.

So far as I have heard, there are over 235 kids are severely injured related to Crocs shoes. This is the statistics not including those were not reported to the officials.

  • @melodydamor i agree, but crocs is probably too cheap to do anything about it. And crocs doesn't just have a duty to warn people, but to fix it. i mean its like they are watching these kids burn and not do crap about it, like at LEAST warn them there was a fire hazard, or take the fire hazard out. I mean these innocent kids need to get their feet replaced or have implants to fix this.

Crocs must be cheaper than microsoft

wait, how long has this hazard been acknowledged?

  • @Ball4184 It is not the question of how long it has been acknowledged.

Rather, the warning of this hazard should be wide spread and made publicly known.

  • Comment removed

  • Try to stick your foot in the Escalator with any other footwear, and tell me if you'll have less damage. Stupid. It just like putting alcohol on your hand, put it in the fire, and then sue the alcohol company. Just watch your kid when they're on the escalator. It is obviously the parents false if things like this happen.

  • @kawaihui Are you saying that these accidents happened was because the kids sticked their foot in the Escalator?? Are you out of your mind? Their feet got pulled in by Crocs shoes.

If there is a fire hazard like "the alcohol as you mentioned", by law the manufactors must have their products labeled with warning saying "it's flammable". Thus, you cannot sue the alcohol company anymore.

This is exactly the issue here, the Crocs company has never put any warning on their products' sales tags.

  • I would never buy these, for this reason and b/c they would stink after awhile.

  • Well I'm not buying CROCS now because I'm always going to the mall. Ugh and I was wincing this whole video!!

  • crocs are lame

  • that's just karma for buying crocs... i feel sorry for the kids, it's not their fault their parents are retarded and give them crocs to wear.

  • I totally agree with you!!!

  • @djnapkin Now you can say that after knowing this hazard of the Crocs shoes.

But before this, those parents are also victoms, because they did not know of this.

This is why Crocs is sued by so many parents for their shoes do not have any warning of this hazard on their sales tag .

  • @djnapkin It is not nice to call the parents retarded.

It could happen to you too, if you didn't know of such danger beforehand for kids to wear Crocs.

Don't tell me that you are retarded to believe that the parents would carelessly give their children Crocs to wear on purpose, knowing that they could get injured?!

Watch what you are saying!! The parents are also victoms of the psychological trauma. Don't you pour ice on snow, to make them feel even worse!!

  • crocs suc!k

  • If a parent doesn't do anything about their kid not following the safety instructions for the escalator (yellow warning lines), sue the shoe company instead.

  • It's not purely a croc thing.

I had a running shoe caught like this about 20 yrs ago.

It happened to me because I was being silly and wasn't within the yellow side lines - my shoe was rubbing along the right hand side.

I notice in this vid that these escalators don't even have warning lines along the side.

I don't see why croc should be sued for this.

  • @neuronstorm escalators don't need a shitload of warning signs when used safely and when whereing the right footwear there is no danger escalators have an emergency stop what more do u want

  • @neuronstorm mayb true BUT croc increase d chances...

  • @neuronstorm Have you heard of adult wearing Crocs shoes injured at the escalator?

The issue here is Crocs makes children's shoes and put young children in danger wearing them at the escalator. Children's Crocs shoes are small and soft enough to be mangled by escalator, along with their little feet. Crocs well aware of this danger to the young children. They also have been sued for numeral times. Still, they are not doing anything to prevent it repeatedly happen again. They must be banned.
