I am a Greek. My father was a cop. I asked him about police corruption in Greece ( it was in 78 ).
He said that about half the Greeks cops were corrupt but that not all cops work with the public ( the number would be greater otherwise ) I live in Finland now. Finland is rated as the least corrupt country which is BS and a lie. In my case cops lied under oath and fabricated evidence and I can proof this.

It is very rare to see a cop like him admitting to corruption in the force, he wouldn't last long in the local police force in the town I live at, cos what sticks them together is internal corruption to the max, just like everywhere else I'll imagine except this cops is got balls to expose this and says it like a man.

This officer is very brave, unfortunately, his message will be ignored by the political elite - as they are corrupt!
The police take a few hundred a month in bribes, the people he is appealing to at the top are millionaire via corrupt practices.
I worked in Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan and experienced it all the time. At the Grand Hotel Europe in Azerbaijan, there was a notice in the hotel guest book in my room telling guests to call reception not the police in an emergency!

There was no specific reason given, only that "the hotel strongly advises guests to not call the police, contact the front desk".
There was even a little drawing of a police car next to the notice for those slow on the uptake. But its clear to everyone why they said this so openly to guests; all the cops there are corrupt - almost everyone in the public sector is. They say its a "national hobby"!
I had cops in Moscow & Almaty try to take bribes off me. $0 for Moscow but $50 for Almaty.

who is drilling in russia for free oil? i can't think of one company who got that lucky in russia. also, who is russia selling this oil to anyway - the west!! you could say china, but who is china selling to? why does china have a demand for the oil... to power its industry to sell to the west!
russia could pay its police a good salary if there was not so much corruption! its EVERYWHERE in Russia, from the airport to the taxi, to the police on the street and even in the court!

im agree. so my appologies. but its for free anyway - oil and gas still. there are smart schemes but still. lets start from the idea of resources which doesnt belong to anyone but to everyone. espesially everyone who lived there for ages who cultivated and died for that land. but getting nothing. 200 dollars a month. what would you do if you have family and such a wages and greede goverment? you become one of them.

the Russian police officer has been arrested on fraud charges since he made this broadcast, he is having his career destroyed for this disclosure and is in prison right now.
i think it would have been better for him in the US - he is in prison now after-all! poor man, Russia is not a civil society. instead of paying the police (and training them) well, resources for this are stolen by officials in the state & by oligarchs who buy yachts and houses in the west - yet they criticise the west!

Corruption has been apart of this world since the beginning of civilization. It is horrible that society thinks their isn't corruption amongst us all - but instead we live shaded world where we only want to believe what we see and hear. Sad this man now gets to suffer for doing what's right. I hope SOCIETY won't allow that to happen.

I wish more cops would have the courage to stand up to tell the world of the corruption that needs to be fixed. When the corruption is dealt with, more people will have a greater respect for the law, and those who are supposed to uphold it. As far as I'm concerned, the guy is a hero for standing up against the system rather than "just doing what he's told to do". 5 Star rating for this man....

I am a Greek. My father was a cop. I asked him about police corruption in Greece ( it was in 78 ).
He said that about half the Greeks cops were corrupt but that not all cops work with the public ( the number would be greater otherwise ) I live in Finland now. Finland is rated as the least corrupt country which is BS and a lie. In my case cops lied under oath and fabricated evidence and I can proof this.

It's worse when it comes to abuse of power. In Greece it's more about small sums of money and yet every time I had a problem I just spoke with the boss and it got solved within less then 30 minutes ( no bribes ) The shit here in Turku goes on since 3 years. No search warrant 3 times. Cop lies under oath, forgery and more and here in Finland. Fins are better sheeple then Greeks

2Demetrenos: I live about 180km. from Finland. I was well informed about Finland , because a lot of people around me moved to there. I can't compare Finland and Greece , but those people, who live in Finland, don't want to come back to Russia.

We citizens of western countries shouldn't ignore the increasing corruption within our legal systems. I'm sure there is less corruption in Finland than in most other countries but i'm sure corruption is increasing there like it is increasing here in germany. When I left Greece we had 200.000 Muslims.
Now we have 800.000 legal Muslim aliens and 200.000 illegal Muslim aliens. Greece is poorer then Finland.
Finland has only about 65.000 aliens and most of them are refugees Finland was required to take because of it's international agreements

Sounds EXACTLY like American Police and State Trooper departments. The Police are generally very honest and good people but State Troopers will do anything to get a conviction. They will lie in court and use slanted prosecutors just to gain a conviction. They want every American to have a criminal record. I think when this happens, it is much easier for American corporations and government to exploit us.

By now major Dymovsky is free, though he was fired from his job and his former boss accuses him of slander. He is now in Moscow, interviewed by journalists and supported by many people.
He needs even more public support to break the rotten system.
At least two other officers came up with similar statements after Dymovsky.
