@220226 - Welcome to my past frustration; I searched everywhere for this version of the song, including two stores in Germany (Saturn Hansa) and HMV in London. It turns out this exact version was never sold to the public in any form. PERHAPS it is on a demo "not for sale" version somewhere but what I think happened was the sound guy on the movie F/X edited the song to fit the end title sequence...with persmission of course.
Thank you very much for adding this video clip. I TOTALLY agree with you on the importance of both great openings and closings. Yes, this underrated film has both!! This is one of my all-time favorite movies and the end theme is just perfect. I love how the song was remixed to add the echoes in key sections.
I would suggest viewing the film "Someone To Watch Over Me' which has the wonderful title song played over aerial footage of Manhattan at night.

Anyway it's impressive you knew about the song being remixed; how and why. I drove myself nuts trying to find this exact version but the invention of the DVD & MP3 technology soved the problem. Never knew that before thank you!
