@badmephisto thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks a lot i started F2L 2-3 days ago and now i solved the first two layers including the cross in 37 seconds!! but using these methods and learning fingertricks i will solve the F2L in 10 seconds I trust myself. THANKS!!!!!
Thank you so much! Your videos have helped me drastically improve my cubing. I usually have to rely on algorithms, but with this level of understanding, I can have my muscles to the work for me!
I actually figured out F2L on my own. I knew of the concept, but I never watched a tutorial or anything on it. I'm watching this video now to officially learn it. Great tut, by the way.

Thank you for this! I wasn't looking forward to memorising the 40+ F2L algorithms but now I understand how to do it intuitively. Looking forward to sub-1min :)
How do you solve the case when your last slot has the white pointing to the right? I can only do F' and R without bringing solved areas to the top layer.
Oh thanks man! I started this out with 4 minute timings on the first day, but on the next day I had 1:45 timings. I'm certain this will surpass my beginner method timings! Thanks! I appreciate your awesomeness!
sOO... i LEARNED THE CROSS F2L 2LOLL 2LPLL AND I AM AVERAGEING 1 MIN 18 SEC :) I SUCK AT MOVING THE CUBE FAST:) HOPE THAT AFTER A LOT OF PRACTICE I LL AVERAGE A LOT LESS.
Your method of explaining is by far the clearest I have found. Tnank you for this intuitive way of solving F2L. Dan Harris has a great website, but you show step by step what to look for without reorienting the cube and disorienting the viewer.
@crazymexicandope actually if you do rotation it would be a lot faster.. (y') R'U2RUR'U'R, you have to avoid F's and rotations on F2L, instead you can do "d" moves
I enjoyed this video! I've run across some problems where I couldn't hide a corner or edge w/o disrupting solved pairs, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. I have the Dan Harris book, but there was no way I'd have the ability to memorize 42 different algorithms for all the different F2L possibilities. I'll have to resort to it when I become stumped and need a faster way to solve f2l. Thanks!
@BruisingEd9545 you do the same exact thing. Just make sure you work with the undone corner (which should be your [Front , Right , Down] Corner) . You can slide ( Front ) , both ways. Front and Front Prime , to get the final slot. Good luck :)
I am having a problem with solving the very last F2L edge/corner pair every time I try. It seems that by correctly inserting the fourth pair, I ALWAYS mess up a pair I had already done. I know you mentioned this in this video, but no matter what I try, it doesn't work out. I can always get three, but when I get to the fourth, it messes up either the first, second, or third pair I had already done.
@Drewerd615 An example of this is at 1:15 in this video. Every time I get this case it is ironically my fourth and final pair. When looking at 1:15, I do these moves (the same ones you do): Ri U R Ui Fi U2 F Ui Fi U F.
This does correctly insert the pair, as shown in the video, however, when done as your FOURTH pair, it messes up another pair.
Before i used F2L My time was 5 minutes. but now two months later i have seen a major change in my physical appearance and my time!!! I have brought my time down to 5 seconds!!! If you want to change your rubixs cubing life please call 1-888-rubixs TODAY!
I 'understood' what you were doing the first time around but I could not do it on my own. I have watched this video at least 5 times and now I 'get' it. Thank you very much for this tutorial. I am going to kick my brother's ass at xmas.
You don't expect us to get it after watching your videos one? PFFT! You're so awesome! Holy crap! I was able to do f2l over and over and over again after watching your videos once! Because I just learned how to do it though, it WAS faster to do it the way before, but as you said, once I have practice, f2l will be much faster! Thanks again!
hello friend i´m really learing that stuff of F2L and i have to be shure but at 2.39 you make twelve steps to solve that pair when i do the algoritm F`U2 F U F´U´F . 8 moves !!!!! why ?
which method is faster: beginners method (dan brown) or this? because im getting slower times with this, but maybe thats because im not used to it. Which is better?
in the first first case .. you did this sequence U´- U´- R- U- R` ( ↑` ↑´ →↑ →` ) when you have to do L -U - ←↑ two movements!!!!!!!! why are you loosing time ? explain that buddy!!
Hello. Congrats on the video! it's been really helpful!
I just have a question: do you have a video on the last layer? cause I use a set of algorithms for the last layer, but maybe mine is not the fastest way...
hey thanks for making this video. i'm surprised some people have problems with it, i find F2L very intuitive. after watching your video twice, i've done 6 F2L solves, and i'm not having any trouble at all (apart from being a bit slow). once i get faster i can tell this will cut my solve time in half because i'm solving the cube in way less moves. so once again, thanks!
i have a problem my times have gotten horrificly worse due to the F2L my average time used to be 1min 30seconds(im not that fast),and now its up to 4mins 3 second average time.
@amateursurvivaltv that's so weird! I had that problem as well! The other 65 000 people did too! I should have mentioned in my video that this happens! oh wait... i did
@amateursurvivaltv I know, I know. But if you get asked the same thing every single week for 3 years, it starts to get on your nerves. Besides, being as asshole is more fun ;p
@amateursurvivaltv You just need to practice until the method becomes easy for you so you do it faster. I'm also learning this method and I feel like I take forever figuring out the corners and the edges and where to place them and etc.
@IPwnAllAndLeaveNone okaaay..Go kill yourself or something Oo My average is about 50 secs, so i swear you that you are fu**ing wrong, Sir. Create the situation and do the fucking alg i posted, and you'll see that im right..lol
@IPwnAllAndLeaveNone I only said that the other way is much more plausible and the other way, he did, is confusing, no offense against anyone.
You fucktard said that the cross and other f2ls get out of place, and thats just wrong. So gtfo and flame another one or stick your fucking cube up your ass...
@Deliro87 YES AN F' WOULD MOVE THE CROSS PIECES. God fuck, you are a retard. It's NOT FUCKING CONFUSING. You just need a brain and LISTEN to what he says. He averages 16 sec, I average about 25 sec, and you average 50. WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, YOU DO NOT. GET THIS INTO YOUR HEAD, RETARD. He's trying to help, don't be a retard and post retarded comments on his video.
@IPwnAllAndLeaveNone Lol..i never said that hes bad, he is a god, wo a doubt, you are the tard. At 5:00 he moves the cross , too. Thats clear, i really dont know what your problem is, dude. In general my way and his way are the same. He only puts the corner in the bottom layer and back up. My corner stays on top but the cross switch back in posit. You are insane, man. This has nothing to do with averages. Its only about the mechanics of the cube. so stfu if you dont know what you r talking about
All this time you said it doesn't affect the cross. Well it does. And Anyhow, thats the slow way to do it and it's not fast at all. If I don't know what I'm talking about, how come my average is half yours? Yes it does have to do with average, it shows who knows more about the cube. He knows the advanced way also. You stfu.
@geniusbob3 Don't look up algs for F2L til your times are under 40 seconds average. Just don't, figure out the algs by yourself, then look up better ones.
This is the only tutorial I found on YouTube that made clear sense to me. :D

I just have a question: do you have a video on the last layer? cause I use a set of algorithms for the last layer, but maybe mine is not the fastest way...
which algorithms would you recommend?
thanks!

hahahaha part one you have 156,000 views and in part 2 you have 66,000 so 90,000 people said fuck this shit hahahahah

hey thanks for making this video. i'm surprised some people have problems with it, i find F2L very intuitive. after watching your video twice, i've done 6 F2L solves, and i'm not having any trouble at all (apart from being a bit slow). once i get faster i can tell this will cut my solve time in half because i'm solving the cube in way less moves. so once again, thanks!

man you explain this so well u are by far the best i have seen
gravityjoe35 1 year ago
u should make a noobie video for this becuz this might even be easier then begginer method :)

i have a problem my times have gotten horrificly worse due to the F2L my average time used to be 1min 30seconds(im not that fast),and now its up to 4mins 3 second average time.

@amateursurvivaltv PS i dont mean to complain

@amateursurvivaltv that's so weird! I had that problem as well! The other 65 000 people did too! I should have mentioned in my video that this happens! oh wait... i did

@badmephisto ok ok no need to be a jerk about it

@amateursurvivaltv I know, I know. But if you get asked the same thing every single week for 3 years, it starts to get on your nerves. Besides, being as asshole is more fun ;p

@amateursurvivaltv You just need to practice until the method becomes easy for you so you do it faster. I'm also learning this method and I feel like I take forever figuring out the corners and the edges and where to place them and etc.

this is the first rubiks cube tutorial that i didnt need to pause 43,000 times while watching it. perfect tutorial!

AWESOME.. now i can do the f2l..
thefieldofcrows 1 year ago
So confusing.. at 5:00 Why don't you do F'? This would be case 1 and all would be fine ô.o
Deliro87 1 year ago
@Deliro87 The cross piece and the other F2L slots around get put out of place.
IPwnAllAndLeaveNone 1 year ago
@IPwnAllAndLeaveNoneLol, no they don't. F', U', F, U2 have case#1 is done, same number of steps, but case 1 is much faster to solve. Try it out
Deliro87 1 year ago
@Deliro87 Haha aren't you knew to F2L? I'm not...I know what I'm talking bout haha
IPwnAllAndLeaveNone 1 year ago
@IPwnAllAndLeaveNone okaaay..Go kill yourself or something Oo My average is about 50 secs, so i swear you that you are fu**ing wrong, Sir. Create the situation and do the fucking alg i posted, and you'll see that im right..lol
Deliro87 1 year ago
@Deliro87 50 sec? Yea definately a F2L newb. Your are WRONG. And judging by the way you speak, you will not get under 25 second average anytime soon.
It's not "much faster to solve". You don't know what the fuck you are talking about.
IPwnAllAndLeaveNone 1 year ago
@IPwnAllAndLeaveNone I only said that the other way is much more plausible and the other way, he did, is confusing, no offense against anyone.
You fucktard said that the cross and other f2ls get out of place, and thats just wrong. So gtfo and flame another one or stick your fucking cube up your ass...
Deliro87 1 year ago
@Deliro87 YES AN F' WOULD MOVE THE CROSS PIECES. God fuck, you are a retard. It's NOT FUCKING CONFUSING. You just need a brain and LISTEN to what he says. He averages 16 sec, I average about 25 sec, and you average 50. WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, YOU DO NOT. GET THIS INTO YOUR HEAD, RETARD. He's trying to help, don't be a retard and post retarded comments on his video.
IPwnAllAndLeaveNone 1 year ago
@IPwnAllAndLeaveNone Lol..i never said that hes bad, he is a god, wo a doubt, you are the tard. At 5:00 he moves the cross , too. Thats clear, i really dont know what your problem is, dude. In general my way and his way are the same. He only puts the corner in the bottom layer and back up. My corner stays on top but the cross switch back in posit. You are insane, man. This has nothing to do with averages. Its only about the mechanics of the cube. so stfu if you dont know what you r talking about
Deliro87 1 year ago
@Deliro87
You stfu.

thank you so much! i was so nervous about trying to learn 40 algorithms, this makes so much more sense!
geniusbob3 1 year ago
@geniusbob3 Don't look up algs for F2L til your times are under 40 seconds average. Just don't, figure out the algs by yourself, then look up better ones.
IPwnAllAndLeaveNone 1 year ago
I solve it using beginners methods in a minute to a minute 15.... how much time will it cut off lol
larixi1 1 year ago
@larixi1
Let me test it. - a few min later-
Saves me about 20 seconds. But OLL and PLL are also in Fridrich, that saves time also.
IPwnAllAndLeaveNone 1 year ago
f2l is certainly amazing but it still takes me some some time to complete it .... can anyone please tell me how to improve
