  • wow, this was pretty good.. Im a bit confused as to why you didn't just mask around the areas you wanted colored rather going wild and then having to erase it later..? or am I just looking at it too hard? lol.

  • You make it look so easy...

  • you should make more videos :)

  • wouldn't there be some light on her shoes ??

  • finallly...some one actually made easy to understand! thanks a lot

  • i need help, how do you go back and erase the color outside of the lines? normally what i do, is us the lasso tool to go around the edges of the whole picture and use select inverse and delete.

  • wait did you get the colors from naruto, or an anime/reference or were those your original colors? whenever i use my own original colors the picture rarely ever comes out like how it does in anime shows

  • i used feather .

  • oh no.. she said nuh-roo-toe. that is so wrong. tsk tsk.

  • @Jbob1390 People have their own accents to describe anime

  • perfect tutorial, thank you so much.

  • this was very helpful, thank you!

  • WOW

  • Your tutorials seem usefull, SUSCRIBED! :3

  • did you have to go in and erase all the extra color? i always use the fill tool to color because it's a lot easier, but to do that i have to use the pencil tool for my lines and it looks sort of pixely. i'd like to use the pen tool because it looks better, but i don't really want to have to go through the trouble of going back and erasing around the colored area. is there an easier way of doing that?

  • Thank you for this video!

  • Great tutorial, btw a tip I picked up from my friend: Its easier for me to select the area inside your lineart with the wand tool then to color inside the lines, no need for erasing!

  • this is very good :) thanks for the tutorial! :)

  • I love how neat everything is, cute character! :3

  • i cant even draw stick figures : (

you have an awesome talent...keep it up!!!

  • great work! can this be done on illustrator? because the erasing seems quite some work =/

  • Which version of photoshop is this?

  • pretty nice pretty nice. learned alot

  • What is the color mode that you used ?

  • lol you say naruto like my dad dose hahah awesome video :D

  • Is using normal colour layers below the lineart layer equivalent to using multiply colour layers above it?

  • Nurudo?? xD Its Naruto.

  • @WbGe7 thats how all the american / english people say it... D:.. like... evan-jelly-on.. Evangelion

  • @Konkyz I still find it annoying that people (especially Americans) Change the word.

  • @WbGe7 Yeah. but it goes better with their accent.. and it would maybe sound strange to other americans if they pulled the japanese accent right in the middle of the sentence etc.. but yeah, i agree :D.

  • @Konkyz I am american actually xP And, I say japanese words correctly in sentence's that don't sound odd. *for reference I live in washington state*

  • @WbGe7 Oh.. allright XD .. ALSO.. the ones saying narudo might be watching the dubs.. ( please dont say u watch the dubs! XD ) .. the dubs can mess with people sometimes...

    EVANJELLYON

  • @Konkyz xP No... I rarely watch dubs.. The only dubbed version of Anime I like is DBZ.

  • how do u get your lines so smooooth? and what resolution do u use? how many pixels per inch? u are sooooo gewd!!!

  • ok so i have photshop and im still kinda learning so could u tell me how to clean up after you use the brush? what tool do you use? :)

  • werewere do yuo get the line arts

  • Lol! I was like "that person looks familier" then i saw the headband around the neck and im like "ahha! its nartuo based" XD

  • great job, i really like this

  • soo, nice tutorial; but 1) what exactly does layer style : Multiply, does?

    2) y don't you do the base colour and shade colour on a seperate layer ? wouldn't tha be lot's and lots of handier when you mess up ? =P i don't know much bout cell shading so can you help me out ? ;) thumbs up!

  • @heyaanimerocksheya Multiply allows you to color on a new layer, but it doesn't interfere with the other layers. An example is when you first start color over your lineart. Setting that new layer to multiply lets you color over the lines. It just keeps everything neat & separated.

    &

There's not much point doing the base and shade color on separate layers. If you mess up on the shade color the base color acts just like an eraser anyways.

    Hope that helped!! :)

  • @xosimplykate pretty much yeah :P only, i always set mine to normal, and to draw over lines i just set my lineart on top, i'll try multiply sometime :) tyvm!

  • wow your really good!!!!! thanks for the tut.

hope you make more. . .xD
