Ok, the job of the U.S. military is to destroy other militarys that the U.S. government tells them to. The U.S. government told the U.S. military to destroy Iraq's military. In about 3 weeks, the U.S. military did that. Ok, so they did their job. But the U.S. government said that they had to stay, defeat an insurgency, make Iraq a democratic state, and rebuild the country. That is not the job of any U.S. institution, including the military's. So why do we expect them to do it with success.

To ayoyoung i don't believe we had to fight Iraq to survive at all. It had no al qaeda no nukes and the 32 chemical weapons found were reported by the CIA to be from 1991.
