I recently acquired a 2008 550i Space Gray Metallic, very similar to yours. My question is, how did you cover the 4 license plate holes on your front bumper? I've been tempted to remove the license plate holder on mine but the holes are visable and looks very distasteful.
@naiwister I bought the car in FL and they don't have a front plate law there, so no holes were drilled in the bumper :) I do know if you google it, you can buy painted hole plugs for bumpers that have drilled holes. I had them on my older 3 series.
Tint % can depends on the quality of the film and the type of car. On coupes, and cars with small fewer and smaller windows, a lighter tint can still look dark because less light gets into the car. One four door cars, I've always done 20% or, 15% in the case of this 550i.
bmw 535i or 550i are amazing cars ... depending on how big engine I6 or V8 you need? but one thing I'll recommend-- do not get any BMW without ACTIVE STEERING. Active Steering makes it allll the fun to drive. Also if you get a car and it comes with run flat tires make sure you take them off - store them somewhere and put on non run flat coz usually tires on bimmer last for 30'000 miles or so and they run out from inside and each run flat cost $400 or so (just a tip) :) -- good luck.
ohh....my dad has this one in alpine white, exhaust is stock but painted black, rims r the same as this one but painted a perrty gloss black, and the windows r 75% tint, not dark, but looks good

Usually 28% tint is good enough. Not too dark not too light. Looks really decent. I have both my bmw 530i's tinted with that number. -- Good luck.
Btw this is a beautiful 550i ... I'm debating b/w 535i or 550i keeping mpg in mind. One of my lease is about to end.
