  • this is the most amazing insight into his world as an extremely successful man! He is right, he has affected time even after his passing... Im am now a huge fan! Thanks for that...

  • As a playwright I think his best advice was to "...Leave enough room for something wonderful to happen." Jim was a uniquely talented, unpretentious, and generous individual who will most surely be missed by friends and admirers alike. Mud Boy and the Neutrons member JImmy Crosthwait said Jim had written his own epitaph--"I'm not gone, I'm just dead." All who knew him would agree that he gave too much to be forgotten.

  • My heart breaks. Oxford will never be the same. Stronger, with his spirit, but it will never be the same. Lost a giant.

  • You left a ton of great music behind, Jim... You'll be greatly missed... Gone but never forgotten... RIP...

  • God bless you Jim.

    From a fellow Memphis musician.

Your right up there with Shawn Lane.

Never on the spotlight, but ALWAYS the heart, soul, and DRIVING beat of Memphis music. !

God bless you and I love you with all of my heart.
