  • at the end he was playing what we now know as 'floods' (outtro) am i right?

  • @gansenrouses Yeah man. That had to mean he had that riff building in his head all along... This must've have been quite some time before TGST. Holy shit.

  • i think their bassist is majorly underrated

  • two legends gone wow so sad ive been playing for 24 years love them both seen them no hands down randy is god

  • Thank you for this. Had no idea Dime was so into Randy. Makes me like him that much more. Hope they are rockin the fuck outa the afterlife.

  • Dio, Randy Rhoads, Dimebag Darrell, John Bonham, Cliff Burton. I bet they started a band \m/ R.I.P.

  • @superfartdog actually they didnt start a band, since they are all dead, except for Dio, who is still alive... idiot.

  • @DamnImhigh76 haha you must've been high when you wrote that

  • @superfartdog lol nah, jk

  • @DamnImhigh76 haha jk about your comment?

  • @superfartdog well arnt you just the sharpest knife in the drawer. lol.. ok who helped you figure that one out? come on i know you didn't do it all by yourself

  • @DamnImhigh76 third to sharpest actually, and i suppose i should've figured it out better huh? it was a very specific and detailed comment. really sent the message. "lol nah, jk". your "jk" after your "nah" could refer to multiple things.

  • @DamnImhigh76 ...Dude. Dio still alive? WTF?

  • @3dEnthusiast ya shhhhh, i keep him in my dungeon and make him sing the whole power diver album nightly.

  • @superfartdog Yer forgot Buddy Holly nice try though

  • @americanzombie2012 ....... yeah buddy holly could start a band with john lennon, elvis, james jamerson, and tony williams, buddy holly would not fit in haha

  • @superfartdog Buddy Holly influenced everyone he just did not live long enough to put out a substantial catalogue of music . All that he did publish were hits !!! I'm a headbanger and

still get whiplash , if you don't take time out to smell the flowers there an evil drug to make you lose your mind .

  • Maybe, in a some place between heaven and hell, Randy listened...and he liked...so he call Dimebag for his band...

  • Lmfao glad to see everyone bought their opinions. Fuckers. This is dimes tribute. Lets leave it at that. Its good. This is before Dime found the true Dime. Two equally amazing guitarist. Glad I stumbled upon this.

  • \,,/ Fuck yeah !!!! \,,/

  • Dimebag was SO sick

  • @5Be4Funk Of course he was, he was Dimebag. He is an important piece that we just had to lose over a mental defect. I still can't get over how ridiculous that is.

  • That pinch harmonic Dime does at 1:10 cant even tell you how many times i rewind and listen.Pure fuking magic.

  • @DARRINCONNOR1 Anyone who has played guitar for even a few weeks can tell thats not a pinch harmonic. Its a tapped harmonic. dipshit

  • @DamnImhigh76 You asshole. Is that really that important that you felt you needed to comment on it. Yeah I suk on the guitar so what.I fuking love Dime and Pantera. Why would you comment on that.Your a buzzkill, go away.

  • @DARRINCONNOR1 lol, cry more you little bitch

  • @DARRINCONNOR1 ignore him. he's just a really awkward troll

  • im pretty damn sure Jake E Lee Rules the guitar world

  • it's not suicide solution it's force of habit :)

  • Outstanding vid! Its so cool to see Dime doing Randy! Two of my all time favorite guitartists! Wow!!!

  • Great footage of a young guitar virtuoso in his prime. Falling down the stairs gracefully, at blazing speed, and landing on his feet.

  • randy rhoads and dimebag were so good...when they jumped in water, they diddnt get wet, the water got randy and dime

  • dickbag dardick suckd balls

  • Love his Battle Ax!!!

  • is that the Basement they are playing at

  • DB was fat and had a beard! This is not Dime! FAIL!

  • @termsofusepolice this is early pantera

  • God Damn that was awesome.

  • Rex is a freakin bad ass on bass!

  • they are one and the same randy and dime, in the fact that they both loved what they did and didnt spacifically sweat it out for pussy and money, which seperates them for 99% of the the rest of guitarists now day, but they are different in the style in which they play, hard to say whos better, i hold them equally to the upmost respect, RIP to dime and randy, see y'all on the other side :D

  • For those who say Randy is better: Dime played all that stuff perfectly, so we can't compare. Plus I preffer Dime's music. And Dime's playing inspired me such a way... man, if one day I do half of what Dime did I'll be glad(but shure I preffer to do it all). The only stile I would like to "master" is Dime's.I've always thought devoloping my own stile is more important than mastering someone else's stile.but damn,Dime sound so great it's fucking annoying to know Pantera and not being able to play.

  • In the end it's the solo for Floods! I red somewhere it was writen before Cowboys From Hell!

  • randy is the best

  • at 3:56 he plays some of Carlos Cavazo's spot light solo that was recorded on the metal health album.

  • dime is good but he aint even NEAR randy in ANYTHING

    randy rhoads >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> chuck norris

  • Wow incredible.

  • How I miss both these guitarists

  • that was battery they were playing in the beginning

  • The song around 3:50 is "Batlle Ax" from Randy's ex-band Quiet Riot...though I believe it's Carlos Carvazo's solo spot.

  • Comment removed

  • 2 quiet riot albums (imports) had elements of the spotlight solo FYI if you were into randys playing after hearing ozzy you quickly sourced these japanese imports -and i got my copies from a place called utopia in sydney in 84

  • Wow, Dime was just out of this world fabulous as a player. Such a tragedy as in the case of Randy. Gone far to soon. I was blessed to live one block away from Randy and took drum lessons at his moms music school Musonia in North Hollywood from Quiet Riots origional drummer Drew Forsyth and met Randy many times and went to the Blizzard and Diary of a madman tours and had passes. Both of these guy's are legends for sure.

  • At the 3.54 mark DIME is Playing Carlos Cavazo from the Queit Riot album METAL HEALTH song called BATTLE AX .

Very CoooooooL Video Thanks for Posting it R.I.P Dime Your Music will NEVER Die Bro . Rock On Everybody \m/--\m/

  • That second to last solo wasnt randy that was carlos cavazos solo called "battle axe" its off of quiet riots third album metal health good solo.......but anything of Randys would blow Dimes or Cavazos solos out of the water.

  • @Ccavazo Actually Randy Rhoads spotlight solo is just mixed in with battle axe.

  • @Ccavazo LOL If This Realy is the Very Cool Carlos Cavazos Guitarist of Quiet Riot an RATT. I'm I Big FAN Rock On Bro an Rock On Randy an Dime aswell .

  • 25 years old randy > any experienced guitarist....pure god gifted talent...

  • So whats the reason for cutting out at the end.Thats like cutting out rite before the "Over the Mountain" SOLO.No big deal I have the Dimevision DVD. I heard there coming out with "Dimevision Part 2" DVD.Also heard sumthin bout a "Damageplan" DVD coming out.

  • Randy was a cheese dick Dimebag was a GOD

  • Dimebag would fuck Randy up!!!!!!!!

  • @pavich79 that's extremely uncool

  • @pavich79 there would be no dimebag without Randy.Dime would be the first to say that.

  • ummm.... sorry fellas, but that ain't Dimebag Darrell. that there is DIAMOND Darrell. he wouldn't become Dime for years to come. ask me how I know? The Basement.

  • Faggy hair.

  • Man he looks like evh lol I think he was going for that look taking evh was one of his heroes lol

  • dime is like Randy' s baby with this awsome shit and this is when dimebag wasn't a complete beast look up believer by dime bag that is a complete beast but randy was still amazing

  • randy rhoads and dimebag darell is the best guitar player ever.but i think randy is still the purest guitar player ever.his style and his soul, emotion is still unmatchable.RIP RANDY AND DIMEBAG.

  • ANYBODY KNOWS WHAT SONG IS AT 2:22 ?!!!!!!

  • Is That The "Floods Outro Solo"!! @4:40

  • The 2nd Best Guitarist Covering The Best Guitarist. Great Combination

  • Dimebag is a great influence, and an amazing guitarist... but no one can touch Randy

  • @buzzsaw177 there are guitarists out there who can and do "touch" Randy.

  • We're listening to the same thing but we're not hearing the same thing. Love Dime, but he's no randy.

  • I love Dime, but he doesn't come close to Randy.

  • @teddy5883 ,Agreed Randy is my Hero/God,but Dime does Come Close in alot of areas & he always gave Credit & Props to Randy as a Huge influance. Just listen to the FEEL,MOOD & SOUL of the Guitar Solo Goodbye to Romance from Randy then Cemetary Gates from Dime,Very similar in Emotion yet very different.

  • @DavidMRyanMD u mean crazy train

  • @DavidMRyanMD Dimebag's playing was practically Randy Rhoads reborn. Although Randy's playing probably would have started sounding more like Yngwie (except with a much greater appreciation for melody) had he lived on.

  • @teddy5883 find another 80s player that was trying to do what randy did.Put it into perspective of the area,

  • @teddy5883 totally different guitarists....too hard to compare. i personally prefer Randy

  • @teddy5883 You have to remember Dime was shitfaced drunk most of the time live when he played. lol

  • @teddy5883 dimebag > randy rhoads

  • @kGmusicpage Randy > Dimebag.....its not even a question

  • @rjkahlon bahahahahah

  • @teddy5883

    ofcourse randy is the mentor.

and dimebag really the encarnation of randy.

If only ozzy got him instead of the piece of shit zakk wylde lol I hate his tone man.

  • @teddy5883 - I think it might be a bit rushed, yeah.

  • @teddy5883 i think dime is better than randy, dime was heavier and played with way more emotion but damn randy rhoads is such a huge influence on so many guitarist its just my opinion but i love both guitarist

  • @teddy5883 Dime is a mother fucking god. i personally like Randy's playing better but they have different styles n dime has the style not many gitarests have. so u cnt say either of them is better. R.I.P. Randy and Dime

  • @teddy5883 Dime was way better. He had a Texas blues feel and rhythm and could put in the classical scales where they fit. Miles ahead of Randy. And if Randy would have been miles ahead he wouldn't have run into that bus.

  • @024leoj 1st of all I have to say I've NEVER been so infuriated by a remark.I'd like to think you're a needler.Reading your post,I see it's due to a minuscule mind & low mentality.Randy was innovative,intricate,dynamic,fluid&a true artist& Dime's main influence.He created a style:neo-classical.He influenced Wylde,Vai,Satriani,Malmsteen&many more.He wasn't miles ahead,he was decades ahead&new music still emulates him.What does ability have to w/tragedy?Did Dime&Lennon run into bullets?

  • @AaronHROCKS1 My mind is fresh. My mentality is open.I remember the day I heard Randy was killed. It was sad.He didn't invent neo-classical.There many others(Uli Jon Roth,Ritchie Blackmore,Tony Iommi) who where there before Randy. If you were up on your reading,Ace Frehley was his main inspiration. He didn't influence Vai. He is in a world of his own. Malmsteen was playing like this for years before anyone even heard of Randy. This is what you get when you sleep with the bosses wife.

  • @AaronHROCKS1 cmon hes a troll -dont waste ur energies on it

  • @024leoj No,they were LEGENDS who were cut down in their prime,as was Randy. The good die young;LEGENDS are eternal. You Sir,will live to be a very old and miserable age.

  • @AaronHROCKS1 I remember the day it happened and was sad. But now i see kharma has a way of coming around. This is what Randy gets for sleeping with the bosses wife.

  • @teddy5883 Dime come just as close as Zacc, when you say something like that your setting your self up to get slammed.

  • that bass playa is bad ass

  • You forgot the "I don't know" cover

  • @Elluen Was it on Dinevision??? I didnt remember that!!??Id like to see that.

  • @DavidMRyanMD watch?v=5oBTNnrG3hc&feature=related

    After suicide soultion. :P

  • is that the "spotlight solo" or ...the laughing gas solo? Just asking cuz I have EVERYTHING Randy so if i'm missing something. please let me know thanks!

  • @myke2124 Why do you Hate EVERYTHING Randy??? Thats pretty "bold statement" Like Metallica saying they Hate the Beatles. What do you hate???Im am Curious??& you must know enough about RR to call it the "Spotlight solo" & laughing gas is one only a RR fan would know! But at the start ;00-solo for revelation@ 30 sec suicide souloution Jam. then parts of the "Spotlight" about 3 mins in.& this was before Tribute was out so Dime had to learned that from a bootleg

  • @DavidMRyanMD whoops..dude he said "i have EVERYTHING"..not hate...lolz...awesome video mate ....

  • @DavidMRyanMD It says HAVE not HATE. stupid

  • @DavidMRyanMD i think this guy said "have" instead of "Hate"

  • @DavidMRyanMD he said he has everything randy

  • @DavidMRyanMD dude he said HAVE everything randy, not HATE. just sayin ;)

  • @DavidMRyanMD fail lol, he said have

  • @DavidMRyanMD he said 'have'

  • @DavidMRyanMD lol FAIL. He said "have" and you started freaking out for no reason.

  • @DavidMRyanMD even tho this comment is over a year old, its still fucking stupid.

  • @DavidMRyanMD He said "have", not "hate."

  • @DavidMRyanMD he says he "haVE everything randy" i love you davidmryanmd your videos are great

  • @DavidMRyanMD He said have, not hate, lol.

  • @DavidMRyanMD .....he typed "I HAVE everything Randy..." and not "I HATE" ... Genius

  • Thanks for sharing that! Randy's music will go on for many more generations.

  • Thanks for sharing, such great music!

  • This is like 4000 happy meals exploding all at once at a vegetarian convention.

  • the beginning sounded a bit like fight fire with fire (the riff before "revelation"

  • *a bit better, not a but. Lol

  • @CrazyEiche agreed

  • great fucking upload thank you so much

  • This is FUCKING!!! amazing. wow. I love this.
