It can't be Portal itself because the engine doesn't support HUDs and weapons from HL2 even if it can support maps. Garry's Mod currently support Portal Gun on version 11, but it doesn't show any bug like that orange portal messing around the camera. Portal Gun can be ported to HL2 copying some files and scripts. So it must be HL2 with a ported Portal Gun.

This could happen in either Portal or Garry's Mod because HL2, Portal and GMod use the same Source engine. The latter is as simple as downloading and installing an add-on, but this may not be as good and as accurate as the former, where it is simply Portal loading HL2's maps.

Its not fake. Portal and Half life 2 run on the same Source engine, so if you put a few files from portal into Half life 2, this will happen. @Fortuna272 Actually, it's with GCFScape, opening Half Life 2's .GCF file, and extracting the "maps" folder from there to "C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/[Steam Username]/Portal/portal". Then you run Portal, and in the console, type in "maps*" to bring up all maps in the /maps folder, type in "map [half life 2 map here]", and then you can play Half Life 2 in Portal. Of course, "impulse 101" is needed to give you the Portal gun, but it gives you all weapons. No one will speak though, no /sound!

This isn't gmod, there is no offical portal gun for it. There are no combine most likely because he disabled the AI and NPCs. This is not portal on HL2 maps, as the HUD would be differnt.

Most of you guys are fucking uninformed retards. He took the files for the portalgun and put them in HL2. This includes its functions and spawn codes. Because Portal and HL2 run on the same engine, you can spawn the portal gun and create portals on static flat surfaces with few bugs. You can enter the portals and fire weapons through then.

How to make this:

1. Download and install gfc scape

2. Open half life 2.gfc

3. Take folders MAPS and SCENES, but DON'T TAKE OTHERS!!! and put to c/steam/steamapps/[STEAMNAME]/­portal/portal ALSO ITS IMPORTANT TO PUT IT TO PORTAL/PORTAL

4. Turn on portal

5. Open devloper console[ IF YOU DONT HAVE IT, press options/keyboard/advanced/enab­le devloper console]

6. In the console type map d1_trainstation01

7.To get portal gun type sv_Cheats 1 in console and than type impulse 101.

Portal is made from Half-Life 2. When you map for portal, you've got all the HL2 entities, so if you put the HL2 maps in Portal and then you do the "impulse 10"1cheat, you'll also get the ASHPD appart from the HL2 weapons, so you can play HL2 with portals. The best thing is that if you put two portals and you can see yourself in the portals, you can fire and suicide...
