Nevada is one of seven states in the USA that does not have state income tax. The others are Alaska, Florida, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming. New Hampshire and Tennessee, tax only dividend and interest income. I definitely want to go live there....
Amazing that something so nice can just be tore down. Hmmm, well we're headed to Vegas in 8 days and will certainly enjoy the new I suppose. Staying at Luxor and it too will be likely a memory in another 20 years.
Love playing Blackjack? What if there were truly a secret that nobody knew about with respect to the game of blackjack? And what if the very thing everybody thought were true about blackjack, was actually the exact opposite of the truth? Check us out google blackjack secret code.
i had no idea they shut down the sahara, when i turned 21 my father took me and my brother to vegas, this was the first casino we ever stayed in, it was not the best but the staff was nice and we partied our ass off! gonna miss it!
Why did you have to close. I stayed twice and l had a great time. Am going to miss the NASCAR cafe. Thanks for the great memories. You wont be forgotten.
damn man. I learned how to play craps at that hotel back in '99. First the Sands now the Sahara. I pray the Tropicana, Flamingo and Riviera stick around for a while. They're the last of the 'Grand Old Ladies'.
i have played on every table in that house, this was my learning grounds.... this is like a loss of a family member almost... its so weird knowing these people i was on a first name basis with from making bi-monthly trips there a couple years straight are no longer there. no more pounds of wings, no more b3 burrito (probably what broke the place), no more $25 rooms on a saturday, $1 hot dogs to and $1 shots (i have about 200 of those sahara shot glasses) whyyyy??
Thanks for the video! I have many personal memories in that hotel. My first visit was back in 1988. I was there for a seminar, and back then, the Sahara was a dump. Not much has changed. LOL. But I did like that place....it had character. I don't know if anyone remembers this, but the buffet used to be located up the escalator on the 2nd floor. The showroom is where the big conference area was located.
Thank U 4 this! I would have liked 2 have been there. Back in November, I remember wondering where the nice dealer who spoke many languages was. I saw him in July & he mentioned that his hours had been cut. But I never imagined this.
Sahara was my favorite Vegas casino, & I can only hope they will chose to bring it back 2 life & keep the name. 4 the workers: Pauma casino in Cali is hiring.
Best of luck!
Long live Sahara!
PS: Thank u 4 showing the ashtrays! I felt like crying. :-(
@saharacasinoforever THE SAHARA WAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE CASINO AND HOTEL! I HAD BEEN GOING THERE FOR MANY YEARS FROM L A, AND ALWAYS CONSIDERED THE SAHARA MY VEGAS HOME.I AGREE WITH YOU WHEN THIS PERSON SHOOTING THESE LAST MOMENTS IN THE SAHARA SHOWED THE BLACK JACK TABLES AND ASHTRAYS,THAT I HAVE SAT SO MANY TIMES I THOUGHT I WAS WATCHING A VERY CLOSE FRIEND DIE.TO SAD FOR ME TO BE THERE THAT LAST DAY, THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!

Very Quiet in there. Doesn't even sound like a casino.
