It worked well for me. Are you familiar with the history behind the lyrics?
@aquariumcats As I know, these women worked for 10-12 hours or more and they worked only for a few penny.
So the story itself is rough and unadorned in my opinion. About the singer: as I read, this song wasn't recorded in studio; I imagine the pub where he stood in front of the audience. A simple, but honest man stood before an attentively listening audience. Maybe we talk about the same thing. Peace:)
