Jet fuel burns at a really high temperature, not hot enough to melt the steel but hot enough to weaken, bend, and cause a lot of pressure in the building. Then when the pressure is released, all the weight from the top 1/4 of the building just falls down, destroying floor by floor,
and you can't compare a house to a sky scrapper because they are completely different structures.
