None before, None since, I sincerely believe he reached out in a way no other DJ ever has, missed massively by anyone who appreciated the freedom and musical anarchy John bought to the air waves, there is forever an empty space on the dial.............god bless him

John du wirst immer mein Held sein.Bin in Ost-Berlin aufgewachsen und hörte deine Shows auf BFBS,John Peels Music.Du hast all meine Favoriten gespielt.Hüsker Dü,The Fall,Cabaret Voltaire,Misfits,Wipers,Die Krupps,Cocteau Twins,Bhundu Boys,Dub Syndicate,Der Plan,Model 500,Sisters Of Mercy,Neu,Discharge etc.,etc.Sowas wie dich wird es nie wieder geben. The Greatest Radio DJ ever.
John Peel "discovered" more music than any other DJ, had a legendary success rate in finding unknowns that would become big, architected some of the musical wonders of the world through his sessions, and had a diversity of likes that few can come close to, working with everyone from Delia Derbyshire (of White Noise/Radiophonic Workshop fame) to industrial metal bands like Sisters of Mercy to pop superstars like The Beatles. Both radio and music-loving society lost a lot when they lost him.

John Peel was a prize bore, a waffling bag of wind & piss who the British public lionised because he was slightly more bearable than Dave Lee Travis...give it a rest you bunch of hopeless fucktards...one other question...how the fuck could they tell he was dead?
brilliant, you could also do that song at the wrong speed to add a more genuine feel haha. what an extrodinary loss to music now that hes gone eh? lol
