Albel isn't a girl and he is not gay. He is secure in his masculinity. That isn't a skirt, it's a sarong. His top is perfectly fine, it even shows that sculpted belly; he may not have a #-pack, but that's probably because he just excercised his core in a different way. He has a deep voice that--in the english dub--makes him sound a little insane <3 and he does a lot of perfectly manly things. I agree with paladinstorm.

that new star ocean's character with the scythe reminds me of albel. i forgot his name. im gonna aim for the international version--more characters and i see welch is part of the party as well. the easiest way i get to the website is by wikipedia. they're making an english version as well

my first was SO3 and when i researched the last two games, welch was playable. im starting to think that she may be time traveling and since her look changes from SO4 to the first departure then there must have been a reason why she changed her look!

@Slammerbit I think Albel is a closet woman. In Airyglyph, the military is male only, so in order to join (like his/her father) he needs a disguise. This would also explain why he can't equip male any armor.

She is fucking impossible to beat, I was lvl 275 or something like that, and she was pwning my ass, I stopped playing even since xD
