you should have got the mako side folding stock and pistol grip. It folds the opposite direction so that the stock is not in the way of the ejector and you can do a quick reload without it getting in the way. The stock also slides in and out for user prefrence. Or you could just throw a M4 buffer tube and stock instead of the folding. Many options for it.
I am looking into this shotgun.Its on sale thru today at fleet farm for $199.It comes with a 28" ventilated ribbed barrel.I like the shorter barrel like you have for the personal defense gun

red dot? i doubt its necessary. i saw a better stock that reduces recoil. light is sweet but a larger bayonet can sever more arteries. its long and carries plenty rounds. fanfuckentastic. did you know you could put a heavier barrel on there and make it extra kung fu? yeah gonna get it and go combat gauge. haha. love the maverick! good choice!

@redheadhistorian Why would you want a 28 inch barrel on a gun for home defense? It 'd just make it harder to quickly move around. If you saw the barrel off(which is a sad waste of a barrel imo) you won't be able to put a full choke in it anyways. As for the axe head.........Hahahaha wtf. If you're actually considering it, think of the weight, maneuverability, and danger to yourself. I can totally see you falling with your gun and landing on the axe.
@rader1990 28 inch barrel was bought for hunting. Home defense wise the maverick i sone of many. More than likely it would be passed out to one of my family members and told to aim it at a door. I use a mosin nagant for home defense personally. I like the ability to hear the criminal on the other side of the wall and dispatch him before he knows your there.
My couson screwed up the axe head. We wound up welding it to a pipe and throwing it around the shop like a tomahawk
@rader1990 Only if Im being stupid and shooting 90 degees angles. The bullet will travel through multiple walls for sure, which is why anyone in their right mind would shoot downward.
@redheadhistorian I'd only trust someone with extensive military or police training to have the presence of mind when shooting a high powered rifle in doors, in a home defense situation, to distinguish between a safe shot and an unsafe shot. You seem to have neither. It can also be noted that a bolt action is not ideal for a home defense gun. While there is nothing illegal about it, I'm glad for the sake of me and mine that I don't live near you.
@rader1990 I'll trust a bayonet and 5 rounds of AP over my shotguns any day for home defense. These days the criminals are getting a hold of some nifty gear. I would rather shoot and KNOW I'm getting through any possible kevlar and such than take a gamble that my 000 shot is even touching them. Ill sell my side folding stock the same at the one pictured in the video for $40.00 buck's shipped in the USA of course. It's an ATI side folder. The holes are already pre drilled to add a shot shell carrier to the stock.

Im looking at this gun real hard here in Texas. Heard alot of Good things about it,especially the PRICE. Walmart $169.00
Does it come with a PISTOL GRIP or just with the shoulder stock? How is the recoil pad on there? Any good or does it hurt after awhile?
