Traditional Latin Catholic Wedding Mass - Part 3: Eucharistic Sacrifice

is this a pre vatican 2 style mass? I was just confirmed on easter this year and this is really unfamiliar to me...I like it a lot though. This is what I thought mass was when I converted.

The mixing of Holy Eucharist in the hand (not allowed in a Latin Mass) and Holy Eucharist on the tongue is a no no. The standing while receiving the Holy Eucharist in a Tridentine Mass is also a no no. Both the standing and Communion in the hand are from the Vatican II and adopted from Protestant Services. They should be dropped in ALL Catholic Masses.

It is great to see the younger generations intrest in the traditonal catholic ways. Studies have shown that young men considering priesthood and young men and women considering religious life are more attracted to the more traditonal dioceses and orders. An example of this is that the two biggest women's orders that are having an explosion in vocations are ones that embrace traditonal values like the habit. The Domincan Sisters in Ann Arbor MI have 22 vocations now and are expecting even more.

@davidluvgwen it 's surprising the older generation is using the modern rite for acepting the Host whilst the younger ones are using the Traditional Rite :)

@MaartenDeTroyer - Yes, that was very remarkable to see. You would think the older generation remembers the pre-Vaticanum II practice better. I liked it to see that the young generation (I am of the same age) is willing to follow Tradition.

How were they about to get a children's choir? Is there a school there? Usually they won't sing for weddings. Lucky. : )
